Peters and May, a global leader in marine transport solutions, proudly announces the addition of BR Partners as its exclusive sales agent in Brazil for all marine craft freight. The strategic partnership is set to significantly enhance Peters & May’s reach and service offerings in South America, leveraging BR Partners’ expertise and network in the marine craft industry.

BR Partners, which currently exports around 90% of the yachts manufactured in Brazil, including brands like Azimut, Schaefer, and Sessa, will also utilise Peters & May’s worldwide network for its exports going forward. The majority of these exports are destined for Europe and the USA, predominantly through Port Everglades with carriers like MSC, Maersk, and CMA CGM. Their expertise and volume of yacht shipments ranging from 35-45ft, primarily as out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo, also make them ideal partners for Peters & May’s patented Flat Rail service.

The Flat Rail service is a specialised transport solution that utilises flat racks, a type of open container that accommodates oversized and OOG cargo. Peters & May’s patented Flat Rail service has been integrated into its global network simplifying the movement of yachts between major shipping routes and destinations. This new partnership may see Brazil become the new hub for the Flat Rail service.

“This venture with BR Partners is a significant opportunity for Peters & May as we prepare to expand our reach in South America/Brazil. We look forward to working with BR Partners and Jonas’ team to maximise on the synergies that our two companies will bring to the yacht shipping industry in South America,” said Michael Wood, Director at Peters & May.

Founded in 2009 by Jonas Pelegrini, BR Partners specialises in the export of yachts and boats, and also boasts a robust freight forwarding department, similar to Peters & May. By leveraging each company’s strengths and infrastructure, this partnership promises significant benefits, including cost savings through optimised shipping rates with major carriers. The integration of best practises and logistics systems utilised by each company, including Peters & May’s recently introduced cargo tracking technology, will enhance tracking capabilities and provide real-time monitoring of shipments, enhancing their service reliability and client satisfaction.

Both Peters & May and BR Partners share a commitment to marine transport excellence and customer satisfaction. This strategic partnership showcases Peters & May’s progressive and forward-thinking approach, reinforcing its dedication to its customers. By constantly seeking innovative ways to enhance its offerings, the global company ensures it remains at the forefront of the industry. This latest business decision is another example of that commitment in action.
