With just days to go, the inaugural World Yachting Summit is set to launch in the Principality of Monaco, the Capital of Advanced Yachting. Taking place from 15 to 17 April 2025 at the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort, this exclusive event will offer in-depth insights into the innovations, trends, and challenges shaping the future of the yachting industry.

A summit inspired by global forums

Modelled on high-level events such as COP and the World Economic Forum in Davos, the World Yachting Summit will bring together industry leaders, international organisations, regulatory bodies, tourism authorities, and government representatives. The objective is to foster constructive dialogue and promote concrete actions for the future of yachting.

The event will feature two core thematic tracks:

●       Yachting Business & Tourism: focusing on business strategies, destination development, and sustainable industry growth.

●       Transition to Zero Emissions: outlining a roadmap for industry transformation in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

A line-up of distinguished speakers

The summit will welcome key figures from the global yachting industry, including:

●       Francis Lapp (Sunreef Yachts): the evolution of catamarans in experiential travel and the future of alternative energy.

●       Arjen van Elk (Feadship): business strategy and new economic models for shipyards.

●       Nicola Pomi (Volvo Penta): technological innovation and the impact of new environmental regulations.

●       Tobias Kohl (Rolls-Royce Solutions GmbH): sustainable propulsion systems and future fuels.

●       Dan Lenard (Nuvolari Lenard): sustainability and shifting expectations in yacht design.

●       Espen Øino (Espen Øino International): insights on “A Clean Future” and the decline of globalisation in yachting.

●       Nicolas Boulet (WISAMO Michelin): innovations in wind propulsion for more sustainable navigation.

●       Thierry Voisin (ECPY): the image of yachting and roadmaps for future development.

●       Patrick Coote (MarineMax Superyacht Division): strategies for growth and transformation in the marine sector.

Beyond yachting, the summit will feature cross-industry perspectives with contributions from experts in private aviation, luxury hospitality, and wealth management.

The event will also include an exhibition area with dedicated showrooms and the Innov’ Lounge, a space for startups to connect with key industry stakeholders.

The summit’s tagline, “Charting The Course Toward New Horizons,” reflects its commitment to actionable solutions. A final report will be published following the event, outlining key conclusions and future perspectives for the industry.

With a truly global ambition, the World Yachting Summit already has its sights on Dubai in 2026, expanding to new regions and promoting international growth for the yachting sector.
