Heesen delivers Solemates, 55-metre superyacht to debut at MYS 2025
Heesen Yachts proudly announces the delivery of Solemates, a fully custom 55-metre yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, built on the proven Heesen 55m Steel platform. Officially handed over on April 30, 2025, Solemates is set to debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 and will be available for select charter bookings via Luxury Yacht Group.
The owner, a seasoned yachtsman and repeat Heesen client, selected the Dutch yard once again, trusting in the platform’s reliability, engineering excellence and fast-tracked construction thanks to the speculative build approach. The hull design, developed by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, combined with Omega Architects’ signature exterior styling, provides performance, stability and sea-kindliness.
What makes Solemates truly bespoke is the collaborative design process. Working closely with Silvia Margutti of Luca Dini Design and Architecture and Heesen’s in-house experts, the team crafted an interior that reflects the owner's family-oriented lifestyle and design preferences. Standout features include a redesigned staircase with acrylic panels embedded with gold flakes and crystals, a spacious sundeck with an enlarged Jacuzzi, and vibrant interior accents throughout.
With a volume of 760 GT, Solemates was engineered for long-range cruising and superior onboard comfort. Sea trials in the North Sea confirmed her excellent performance. Ralf Oortman, project manager, praised the synergy between all parties involved: “It was a rare pleasure to work with such a knowledgeable client team. Their insight streamlined our process and elevated the final result.”
Rupert Connor of Luxury Yacht Group highlighted the enhancements: “The cumulative improvements over the previous design have produced a significantly better yacht. Heesen should be commended for continually refining an already excellent platform.”
