After the success of its debut, World Boating Day returns for its second edition from May 17 to 25, 2025, bringing together boating enthusiasts, maritime professionals, and curious newcomers from around the globe for a week-long celebration of life on the water.

What began as a bold initiative to open the world of yachting to the public is rapidly evolving into a global movement. This year’s edition promises greater accessibility, more experiences, and even more waves—with over 40 national and international organizations involved. The program features open days at ports and shipyards, sea trials, behind-the-scenes tours, and family-friendly events.

World Boating Day is guided by the board of the Superyacht Life Foundation (SYLF), composed of:

• Stefano De Vivo (President of WOSA Refit)
• Farouk Nefzi (CMO of Feadship)
• Merijn de Waard (CEO of Superyacht Times)
• Michael Breman (Sales Director of Lürssen)
• Jonathan Beckett (CEO of Burgess Yachts)
• Andrew Doole (President, US Boat Shows – Informa Markets)
• Carlos Vidueira (Director of Rybovich Marina)
• Dilan Saraç (Executive Director – SYLF)
• Laurie Foulon (Community Manager – SYLF)

This year, more than 70 events will be held worldwide, each telling the story of our industry in its own unique way—through local culture, company identity, and a shared sense of belonging.

Countries around the globe will join World Boating Day 2025, with hundreds of local events hosted by shipyards, marinas, sailing schools, and maritime organizations. Whether you're an experienced sailor or simply curious about the boating world, there will be something for everyone.
