The growing complexity of digital systems installed on board yachts, especially in the superyacht segment, calls for tools capable of providing a clear, accessible and operational overview. AVIT Panel fits into this context as the platform developed by Videoworks to support crews and technical management in the day-to-day operation of the AV-IT infrastructure, the integrated set of onboard audiovisual (AV) and IT/network systems.

AVIT Panel is conceived as a unified web interface, designed to operate alongside existing systems without replacing them. The approach is explicitly “overlay-based”: a solution that integrates with current hardware and accelerates monitoring, configuration and diagnostic activities, reducing the fragmentation typical of traditional tools.

At the core of AVIT Panel’s philosophy is a dynamic widget library, continuously evolving through software updates. Available functionalities depend on the hardware actually installed on board, making the system scalable and adaptable to yachts with different configurations.

Each user, according to assigned permissions, can build a personalized dashboard by selecting the plugins most relevant to their role. This setup is aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing the time required to access critical information.

Key modules include continuous monitoring of temperature and humidity, with real-time data acquisition and logging. The system can generate alerts via multiple channels—email, Telegram, Modbus and UHF—providing tangible support for environmental management and anomaly prevention.

On the energy side, AVIT Panel integrates PDU control, enabling precise management of each individual outlet (on/off, reboot) and the association of each port with the asset it powers. This feature is designed to simplify device monitoring and shorten intervention times in the event of a fault.

The platform also includes a comprehensive set of tools dedicated to onboard security and network management. The CCTV control module allows full camera management (pan, tilt, zoom), facilitating both detailed surveillance and wide-area coverage.

Particular attention is given to satellite connectivity, with dedicated modules for monitoring Starlink performance. The system analyzes throughput, latency, signal quality, uptime and potential obstructions, providing both historical and daily traffic data for each antenna.

The Traffic Analyzer and network topology management tools enable in-depth analysis of data flows, with advanced filters for addresses, protocols and VLAN segments. Graphical representation of the network, derived directly from the system design, supports troubleshooting and maintenance operations.

AVIT Panel integrates switch management functions with real-time port monitoring, activity indicators, bandwidth usage visualization and remote control of VLAN configurations. On the security side, the firewall module allows full rule management, including the creation of operational presets tailored to recurring scenarios such as “Captain on Board”, “Crew Only” or “Charter”.

Management of mDNS services introduces granular control of multicast traffic, which is essential in complex environments where AirPlay, Spotify and other discovery services operate across multiple VLANs.

Another distinctive element is the centralized document library, accessible both through a folder structure and via an advanced natural-language query function. This is complemented by the Query module, which provides detailed information on devices and connections via QR codes and barcodes, improving the efficiency of maintenance activities.

The General Arrangement (GA) module enables visualization and management of the yacht’s various areas, with control of lighting, blinds and air conditioning, supported by color-coded and textual indicators showing the operational status of each zone.

The system is completed by virtual remote control functions, source assignment, an audio manager with “Party Mode” presets, and shortcuts for rapid monitoring of the vessel’s overall status—features that reflect a strong focus on practical use and simplification of daily onboard operations.
