Overmarine Group presented the Mangusta GranSport 38 at the Miami International Boat Show, a new model in the Mangusta GranSport line that introduces an architectural configuration based on double asymmetric distribution across two decks.

The yacht measures 37.58 meters (length overall) with a 7.9-meter beam and was built in composite at the Viareggio production facilities. The project targets owners seeking performance, range and efficiency with reduced consumption, emissions and vibrations guaranteed by Volvo Penta IPS propulsion.

Architecture: double asymmetry across two decks

The main design feature of the Mangusta GranSport 38 is the double asymmetry developed across the Main Deck and Upper Deck. On the Main Deck, the walkway is positioned exclusively on the port side, while on the Upper Deck the walkway is exclusively on the starboard side.

This architectural choice allows for interior spaces above category average and enables extending living areas. On the Main Deck, eliminating the starboard side corridor extends the salon to starboard, creating a living surface facing directly onto the horizon through large continuous full-height glazed surfaces.

The full-beam owner's suite is positioned on the Main Deck. On the Upper Deck, the asymmetry opposite to the lower deck further extends space usability. The Upper Salon, outdoor dining area and infinity pool at the bow constitute the main areas of this deck.

The Sun Deck is configured as a private space with maximum discretion. The aft beach club is articulated across two levels: the full-beam Main Deck cockpit with bar and two C-shaped sofas connects via a central staircase to the aft platform, where two sun pads with integrated storage face the sea. Opening side wings and the aft transformer expand usable space.

The side-opening garage can accommodate two jet skis and a tender up to 5.5 meters.

Layout and capacity

The Mangusta GranSport 38 can accommodate up to 12 guests in 5 cabins and 7 crew members in 4 dedicated cabins. Interior design was developed in collaboration with Alberto Mancini.

The project provides a personalized approach with the owner at the center of the creative process, from defining layouts to selecting materials and finishes.

Propulsion and performance

The yacht is equipped with the Volvo Penta IPS Professional platform consisting of four Volvo Penta D13 engines rated at 1000 HP each paired with two propulsion pods. The configuration allows for a compact engine room, increasing living space on board.

Performance data:
- Maximum speed: 20 knots (half load)
- Cruising speed: 18 knots (half load)
- Range at cruising speed: 600 nautical miles
- Fuel capacity: approximately 20,000 liters
