The start of the 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar 2026, scheduled for May 30, is approaching, and the fleet is beginning to take shape with already significant numbers. To date, 193 boats are entered, a figure expected to grow in the coming weeks and align with previous editions.

A comparison with 2025 confirms the trend: last year more than 200 boats registered, with 190 actually starting, consolidating the regatta as one of the most attended offshore events in the Mediterranean.

Organized by the Yacht Club Repubblica Marinara di Pisa together with Yacht Club Punta Ala and Yacht Club Livorno, the 151 Miglia is a well-established event for IRC, ORCi, IRC Over 60 classes and multihulls.

The 151-mile course runs through some of the key landmarks of the Tuscan Archipelago: starting from Livorno, with passages at Marina di Pisa, Gorgona, Pianosa, Formiche di Grosseto and Cerboli, before finishing in Punta Ala. It is a route that combines technical and strategic elements for experienced crews with generally accessible conditions also for less experienced sailors, thanks to navigation close to the coast.

Among the factors contributing to the high level of participation is precisely the course itself, which combines competition with the experience of the territory, alongside an organization that has consolidated the event’s reputation over the years.

The calendar also includes several side events: the 15.1 Run (May 23), the warm-up regatta 15.1 Sail followed by the Crew Party (May 29), and, to conclude, the Dinner Party on June 1 at Yacht Club Punta Ala.

The 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar is also part of the Italian Offshore Championship, the IMA Mediterranean Maxi Offshore Challenge and the Trofeo Arcipelago Toscano, confirming its role within the offshore sailing calendar.

With around two months still available for entries, the fleet is expected to grow further, in line with a trend that in recent years has seen the regatta maintain consistently high participation levels.
