P2M continues its growth path with the addition of Massimo Minnella and Daniele Ceccanti, two professionals with extensive experience in the yachting sector and in the development of integrated systems for large units.

The strengthening of the team comes at a stage in which the company aims to consolidate its role in technological innovation applied to yachting, with particular attention to process digitalisation and the evolution of onboard systems. Minnella and Ceccanti bring a set of skills developed over more than 40 years of activity, with a track record that led, at the turn of the millennium, to the creation of Team Italia, a company specialised in the integration of navigation, automation and control systems for superyachts. After years of growth and industrial and financial development, the company was sold in 2023 to the Rolls-Royce Group.

The roots of their professional path date back to the 1980s, when Massimo Minnella and Daniele Ceccanti were involved in the design and installation of bridge systems for commercial vessels and military units. In the late 1990s, they identified yachting as the most suitable context for the development of advanced integrated systems, thanks to a greater openness to innovative technological solutions and increasing attention to the integration between onboard systems and design.

This body of expertise, developed through complex system design and advanced bridge integration, now fits into P2M’s structure, which operates with an interdisciplinary approach. The company combines naval engineering skills – related to vessel and systems design – with software engineering capabilities required for the development of digital architectures and onboard data management systems.

These are complemented by Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities, essential for lifecycle management from design to maintenance, and specific data management expertise, increasingly relevant in a context where vessels generate and use large volumes of operational data.

The framework is completed by contributions from environmental sciences, enabling a structured approach to sustainability, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance. In this way, P2M positions itself as a partner capable of operating across multiple levels of yacht design and management, connecting technical, digital and environmental components.

The company is led by Marialuisa Francia together with Paolo Francia, Luca Paris, Andrea Giuliani and Giovanna Mangano.

One of the main development areas concerns supporting companies in the yachting supply chain in adapting to environmental regulations set for 2030, an increasingly central theme in vessel design and management. At the same time, P2M is working on the definition of a “digital DNA” specifically designed for the yachting sector, aimed at integrating data, design and operational management throughout the entire lifecycle of the vessel.

In this scenario, the integration between field experience and technological development becomes a key element. The entry of Minnella and Ceccanti strengthens this direction, contributing to the development of solutions that combine operational efficiency, system integration and design quality.

P2M’s path therefore fits within a broader transformation phase of the industry, where digitalisation, sustainability and technological integration are progressively redefining the role of suppliers and industrial partners in the yachting sector.
