Santasevera: forty years of nautical design by founder Francesco Guida
Marking 40 years of professional activity by founder Francesco Guida, a naval and mechanical engineer, the Santasevera brand presents a reflection on its design identity and the direction of its range development.
Guida's career in the marine sector began with his training and early exposure to shipyards, and developed through roles in general management, product development and complex programme management at international level, contributing to the definition of boat ranges and the structuring of industrial production processes.
"Anyone who designs a boat must know the sea and experience it directly. Experience remains an essential element, because a boat is not just an aesthetic object but a space that must respond coherently to the way it is used," says Francesco Guida.
Guida observes that over the past forty years, the way boats are used has shifted toward shorter, more dynamic experiences, with greater emphasis on outdoor spaces and new layout configurations. Within this context, Santasevera develops boats that Guida describes as essential, functional and elegant, designed to hold their value over time.
"The way people experience the sea has changed, and with it the way we design. Santasevera interprets this evolution through an essential language, where every design choice responds to a function and a real experience," adds Guida.
The current range comprises two models, a 42-footer and a 52-footer. The next model will be a 64-footer, currently under construction. "The next model we will launch will be a 64-footer already under construction, but the intention is to grow while maintaining our design language across every size," concludes Guida.
Santasevera will be present at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026 from 8 to 13 September. The brand is based in Fano, Italy, and operates through a dealer network active in Europe and the United States.
