Sunseeker unveils 45M, 86 Ocean Enclosed and Manhattan 94

Sunseeker held its global press conference on 8 September, the opening day of the Cannes Yachting Festival, presenting a new brand identity, the principles that will shape its future ranges, the 45M Superyacht, the 86 Ocean Enclosed and the world debut of the Manhattan 94. The announcements were made under recently appointed Chief Executive Officer Scott Millar.

The new brand platform is called The Original Mavericks and refers to the company's record of creating new categories in luxury yachting, crediting the designers, engineers, craftspeople and owners behind it. "Sunseeker became one of the most admired names in yachting by refusing to follow convention," said Scott Millar, Chief Executive Officer. "This is a brand built by people willing to think differently, take risks and push boundaries. That spirit is central to our future."

The builder also set out its future design direction, following a review of every range. Each line will carry a more defined character: Predator remains tied to instinct and performance, Manhattan to contemporary luxury, Ocean to exploration and capability, and Superyacht to personalisation. The design language calls for cleaner profiles, stronger proportions, sharper glazing treatments and more sculptural surfaces. Sunseeker listed wellness, recovery, fitness, sleep and adaptive living environments among the areas its future concepts will address.

The 45M Superyacht is the first entirely new superyacht design since the company returned to the segment with the 134 Superyacht. It uses a new semi-displacement hull platform, offers around 440GT and features an architectural aft deck conceived as an open ocean lounge, together with an Upper Deck Sky Lounge that can be configured to the owner's requirements. Accommodation covers five staterooms, with the option of a sixth, and quarters for up to nine crew; a transverse tender garage carries a tender and two personal watercraft. Sunseeker confirmed a signed Letter of Intent from a longstanding customer. Construction of the first hull is scheduled for Q3 2027, with delivery expected in Q2 2029.

"The 134 Superyacht marked our return to superyacht production and reminded the market, our owners and ourselves exactly what Sunseeker is capable of at this level," said Sales Director Mark Chinery. "The 45M Superyacht represents the next step in that journey. It is a completely new project that demonstrates our confidence to challenge convention, our courage to think differently and our relentless pursuit of something truly exceptional."

The 86 Ocean Enclosed is the next model in the Ocean series and introduces a fully enclosed upper deck combining wheelhouse and Sky Lounge functions in a single space with panoramic glazing. Externally, the upper deck draws on the function of a Portuguese bridge and can be arranged with seating, sun lounging areas and an optional spa tub. The main deck is surrounded by full-height glazing, and the layout can be specified with an open-plan galley and social area or with a more conventional separation between guest and crew zones. The yacht has four cabins, with an optional main deck master suite, or a full-beam owner's stateroom, VIP cabin and further guest cabins on the lower deck. Length overall is 26.17 metres with a 6.56-metre beam, a draft of 1.31 metres and a displacement of 84,550 kg. Tank capacities are 8,500 litres of fuel, 1,700 litres of fresh water and 800 litres of black water. Engine options are twin MAN V8-1300 or twin MAN V12-1650 on shaft drives, with a top speed of up to 26 knots. The yacht is certified for eight guests and three crew.

On the new model, Chinery added: "The 86 Ocean Enclosed is a yacht for those who expect more from every journey. More space. More flexibility. More connection to the sea."

The Manhattan 94 made its world premiere on the water at Cannes, where Sunseeker is showing seven yachts alongside the Predator 55, Manhattan 56, Manhattan 68, 75 Sport Yacht, 76 Yacht and 100 Yacht. Its main feature is a full-beam owner's suite on the main deck. Four further guest cabins on the lower deck offer double or twin configurations with en-suite facilities, taking the total to ten guests. The flybridge connects to the foredeck, which has two seating areas and a large sunpad, and the pilot house is raised. The garage takes a Williams Sport Jet 395 with stowage for SeaBobs, paddleboards and diving equipment, while the X-TEND sunbed system allows seating to face aft when lowered or forward at cockpit level. The yacht measures 28.60 metres by 6.56 metres, with a 2.07-metre draft and a displacement of 89,278 kg. Fuel capacity is 11,250 litres and fresh water capacity 1,500 litres. Power comes from twin MTU 10V 2000 M96L or 12V 2000 M96X engines rated up to 4,000 PS, for a top speed of 26 knots, with optional Humphree X-Series stabilisers. The yacht accommodates ten guests and five crew.
