Marinedi Group acquires a controlling interest in Marina of Brindisi
Marinedi Group, a leading tourist port operator in Italy and the Mediterranean, is pleased to announce the acquisition of a controlling interest in Marina of Brindisi, one of the leading tourist ports in the Adriatic and already part of the Marinedi network.
The transaction represents the conclusion of a process started in the past years, during which the Group ensured the operational continuity and development of the port following the bankruptcy crisis of the previous majority shareholder. Thanks to Marinedi’s intervention, the revocation of the state concession was avoided and a process of growth in the services provided was initiated, which saw an increase in turnover of more than 90% in just three years, bringing the port to more than 80% occupancy.
This action is part of the Group’s broader growth plan aimed at consolidating its presence in strategic areas of the Mediterranean, providing high quality standards, innovative services and an increasingly integrated marina network.
With its privileged location and equipped with modern infrastructure, the Marina of Brindisi represents a strategic hub for pleasure boating and international nautical tourism. The port can accommodate vessels of up to 90m overall length, ensuring safety, comfort and a high level of hospitality.
