E1 title decider race set to light up Miami in first U.S. series outing
Miami is set to host the 2025 UIM E1 World Championship presented by PIF title deciding race of the celebrity-backed all-electric raceboat series this weekend.
Just three points separate defending Champions of the Water Team Brady from the pursuing pack headed by Team Rafa. And only 20 points cover the top four that include Miami-born DJ Steve Aoki's team, promising a spectacular finale where every decision and fine margins will count.
Racing in front of their home fans at Miami Seaplane Base, Team Miami owned by singer Marc Anthony, is ready to make a splash on familiar waters, while Sara Price (Team Westbrook), John Peeters (Team Blue Rising) and Rusty Wyatt (Team Alula), represent a strong North American pilot contingent set to ignite the crowd.
And discerning guests still have an opportunity to book their exclusive pass to witness history being made in Miami in the comfort of the E1 Ocean Club, E1's hospitality offering.
Guests can relax in style and comfort to watch the race from a prime position and try their racing skill on E1's racing simulators, plus enjoy the Bombay Sapphire Sparkling Lemon, E1’s official cocktail - and an entertainment performance on Saturday from world renowned Cirque du Soleil.
The last remaining limited number of exclusive passes are now on sale at TIXR.com.
As part of E1's partnership with Bombay Sapphire, a full-scale E1 RaceBird is now on display at Miami International Airport, showcasing its signature blue branding and craftsmanship. The partnership between E1 and Bombay Sapphire celebrates a shared commitment to innovation, sustainability, and creating extraordinary experiences – blending the artistry of design with the future of electric racing on water.
Fans can also watch the E1 Miami GP live on E1’s YouTube channel and catch the highlights on CBS on Sunday 9 November at 7 p.m. ET.
Excitement is also building among E1’s celebrity team owners ahead of the championship finale, as they bring star power, fierce competitiveness, and global appeal to the series.
Steve Aoki, Team Aoki owner, said: “E1 coming to Miami is huge! I’m so excited to see this new era of electric racing hit U.S. waters. Miami has always had a special place in my heart — it’s where I was born, and where my dad raced offshore powerboats back in the day. The city’s energy, speed, and culture make it the perfect home for E1’s American debut.”
Alejandro Agag, founder and Chairman at E1 Series said: “The E1 Miami GP represents a big moment being our first ever race in the US. With American team owners Will Smith, Tom Brady, Lebron James, Marc Anothy and Steve Aoki, plus US pilots, the season finale in Miami is not only going to be big but have a lot of American interest.
“Miami itself is a city that captures everything E1 stands for: innovation, excitement, and a deep connection to the water with a history of powerboat racing. We can’t wait to share the thrill of racing on US waters with fans here and around the world.”
Rodi Basso, founder and Chief Executive Officer of E1 added: “The E1 Miami GP marks the climax of an unforgettable season – a Championship defined by tight racing and with any one of four of our nine teams capable of claiming the prestigious 2025 Champions of the Water title.”
This season has taken the Championship on a remarkable nine-race journey across four continents, from the dramatic opener in Jeddah to the glamour of Monaco and now the energy of Miami. Along the way, E1 made history in Africa, staging the first-ever all-electric race on the continent and putting spectators within arm’s reach of the action. A global adventure that has pushed boundaries in technology, entertainment, and elite competition now reaches its thrilling season finale.
