The 2023 Olympic test event set to begin

The 49er and Nacra 17 classes are beginning the 2023 Test Event from Marseilles, France.

This Event continues to be one of the most critical events in the Olympic buildup. Only one team from each nation can compete in each Event, and the organizers test their Olympic plans.

The 49er Class has been to the venue for the 2013 Worlds and the 2018 Junior  Worlds, and since then a massive update has been built around the marina to improve sailor services for years to come.

The sailing conditions vary from amazing to frustrating to on the edge of destruction. The mountain ranges to the North and coastal geography can factor into what the wind does, as can sea breezes and summer highs.
