Bacardi’s events unite professionals and amateurs, attracting a star-studded line-up of legendary sailors alongside weekend racers who return year after year. Biscayne Bay, renowned as one of the world’s most beautiful yet demanding races courses, regularly draws over 200 teams and more than 600 sailors to the Bacardi Cup Invitational Regatta (BCIR).

The two-event Bacardi Winter Series for the J/70 and Melges 24 in December 2024 and January 2025, sets the stage for the finale in March 2025. The 98th Bacardi Cup will attract Star sailors from around the world, with the BCIR hosting top one-design classes from March 2-8, 2025.

In 2024, Mateusz Kusnierewicz/Bruno Prada secured their fifth win in a row at the 97th Bacardi Cup. Their exceptional teamwork has placed them as custodians for five straight years –2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024. Teams from around the world will converge on Miami for the 98th Bacardi Cup, all vying to secure their names on the coveted Bacardi Cup and Tito Bacardi Cup trophies.
Bacardi Winter Series and BCIR
The 2024/2025 Bacardi Winter Series kicks off proceedings for the Melges 24 and J/70 Classes. The series opens with BWS 1 from December 14-15, 2024, followed up by BWS 2 on January 24-26, 2025. The series will culminate at the season finale during the BCIR.
Taking place from March 5-8, the BCIR features nine races over three days for the J/70, Melges 24, Snipe, VX One, and Viper 640 classes. The short-format races are fast and intense, with unique keeper trophies and special awards up for grabs.
