GP 1 Malcesine ended with the success of FIN1 Racing: leaded by Janne Jarvinen, the Finnish crew, reported today as Boat of the Day, lined up Pier Mas' Group Atlantic Sailing Team by just 6 points out of a total of 203. The podium was completed by Katana Sailing Team, led by Suisse sailor Alexander de Weck.

Predictions therefore respected, with the three more experienced teams holding the top places for the entire eleven races series and keeping out from the podium Team Hubex and Team Pirogovo have come to occupy the remaining positions of the top five.

GP 1 Malcesine, held at Fraglia Vela Malcesine, considered as the home of the 69F Class, had to deal with the the "slowness" of the weather, which prevented the normal flow of the races: actually the fleet sailed 6 races on Friday and 5 on Sunday, right after the Saturday no race due to the weather conditions.

During the prize giving there was glory also for Katana Sailing Team, which received the FairPlay award, a trophy assigned to the team with the lower number of penalties received during the event. In this case the crew of Alexander de Weck made no fault along the series.

The next appointment of the 69F Cup is set between May 21-26, while 69F Class will be again on the water at the mid of May (13-19) with the opening event of the Youth Foiling Gold Cup.
