10th Vendée Globe, Charlie Dalin first back across the equator

The skipper of MACIF Santé Prévoyance, leader of the race, crossed back through the equator this Sunday at 1438hrs UTC. And so his elapsed time from the start at Les Sables d’Olonne on 11th November is 56 days, 2 hours, 36 minutes and 23 second.

His time between Cape Horn and the equator is therefore 12 days, 15 hours, 1 minute and 33 seconds.
His climb back up from the Horn has been impressive but is just three hours off the record for this section, set by Boris Herrmann (Malizia) during the last Vendée Globe (2020-2021, in 11 days and 18 hours).

Dalin has led the Vendée Globe at the Cape of Good Hope (November 29), Cape Leeuwin (December 9), Point Nemo (December 20) and also at the passage of the equator this Sunday.
