BWA Yachting has expanded its operations into Iceland, completing its Northern European coverage and further strengthening its ability to assist superyachts across one of the world's most distinctive cruising regions.

The move enables owners, captains and yacht managers to rely on one experienced regional team throughout Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Iceland. From itinerary planning and port calls to logistics, crew changes and day-to-day operational support, clients now benefit from consistent local expertise delivered through a single point of contact across the entire region.

"Northern Europe continues to attract growing interest from yachts looking beyond traditional cruising grounds," says Francesca Fenucci, Chief Communications Officer at BWA Yachting. "Expanding into Iceland allows us to support increasingly ambitious itineraries while delivering the same trusted operational support, local expertise and consistency our clients already know us for throughout the region."

Iceland: Expanding the Yachting Horizon

Unlike the Mediterranean or the Caribbean, Iceland offers an entirely different yachting experience. Dramatic fjords, volcanic coastlines, glaciers, waterfalls, abundant wildlife and the midnight sun create a destination where exploration becomes the journey itself. As more yacht owners seek itineraries that combine adventure, privacy and exceptional natural beauty, Iceland is rapidly becoming one of Northern Europe's most compelling cruising destinations.

BWA Yachting now provides comprehensive operational support throughout Iceland, including clearance assistance in the country's principal ports, with Reykjavik serving as the operational hub for provisioning, logistics, deliveries and crew changes. Although Iceland is not part of the European Union, simplified import procedures facilitate yacht operations, while its participation in the Schengen Area ensures straightforward immigration formalities for both guests and crew. The result is a destination that offers extraordinary cruising experiences, backed by reliable local support from arrival to departure.

Local Knowledge. Regional Strength.

Successful operations in Northern Europe rely on more than careful planning. They require experienced people on the ground who understand local regulations, infrastructure and operational realities, and who work together as one regional team. With Iceland now joining our established operations in Sweden, Norway and Denmark, yacht captains and crew can rely on the same trusted assistance throughout their itinerary, while benefiting from the local expertise each destination demands.

Across the region, BWA Yachting Scandinavia provides berth arrangements, itinerary planning, provisioning, crew changes, logistics and operational coordination tailored to each country. In Sweden, we support extended cruising programmes across the archipelagos. In Norway, we combine fjord operations with specialist assistance for new-build deliveries and shipyard departures. In Denmark, Copenhagen serves as an efficient gateway for crew changes and operational stopovers. And now, Iceland completes our regional coverage with dedicated assistance for clearances, logistics and expedition-style cruising.

Through one regional team and a single point of contact, BWA Yachting Scandinavia simplifies operations across Northern Europe, allowing captains to focus on the voyage while we take care of everything ashore.
