Success for the 10th Captains' Meeting by Floating Life in Florence

Florence served as the backdrop, from March 5th to 7th, for the tenth edition of Floating Life's CAPTAINS’ MEETING, marking a significant milestone for the Swiss yacht management company. The Hilton Anglo American Hotel welcomed 45 captains and 22 chief stewardesses from across the globe, alongside representatives from leading international media and a select partners and collaborators, and several sponsors who contributed to event’s success.

The event's highlight was an ISM (International Safety Management) training course led by Bureau Veritas, with the valuable participation of Dr. Eng. Dario Coccoli, Eng. Stefano Zanus Michiei, and Luca Ghersi. This intensive course, which included mandatory attendance and a final exam, provided participants with a comprehensive update on onboard safety management, culminating in the issuance of ISM certification. The training sessions sparked engaging discussions on crucial yacht safety topics, enriched by concrete examples drawn from participants' experiences and best practices, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Beyond training, the event oZered high-level networking and entertainment opportunities. An exclusive gala dinner, enhanced by a captivating dinner show at the elegant Palazzo XimènesPanciatichi, was preceded by an exclusive fashion installation unveiling the new crew clothing collection. This elegant evening provided an ideal setting for socializing and fun. Floating Life’s CCO, Filippo Rossi, engaged the guests with an original and dynamic presentation highlighting the company's 2024 accomplishments.

The program also included a unique treasure hunt through Florence's streets for chief stewardesses, blending team-building activities with cultural exploration of the city's artistic heritage. This creative initiative left participants with lasting memories of camaraderie and cultural discovery.

With a dedicated team of 30 professionals, Floating Life continues to stand out for its steady growth and innovative projects. In addition to introducing three new vessels over 35 meters to the existing charter fleet, a 50-meter Explorer yacht with an innovative propulsion system is currently being studied and will be announced in the coming months.
