Newport, Rhode Island-based yacht management firm MCM is widely recognized as one of the best in its field. With over 100 superyachts built to date, MCM has shown unrivaled expertise working on a variety of projects and management undertakings - from steel and aluminum motoryachts and sailing yachts to carbon-fiber high performance race boats.

With success comes growth, MCM is expanding in new and exciting ways in order to offer its valued clients even more efficient and higher-quality service.

Key to this growth is the hiring of Bolt LaMotte in the role of Business Director.

A former collegiate and professional sailor, LaMotte has deep, hands-on experience aboard yachts ranging from cruisers to Maxis. After those adventures, he undertook a successful career in financial services and technology, working with such highly respected firms as Accenture, Microsoft, and AXA XL. LaMotte’s mix of yachting knowledge and business acumen make him an ideal addition to MCM.

LaMotte is among a number of new hires that required MCM to expand its yacht-management office. The new workspace encompasses 85-percent of the building MCM operates in. The open and modern layout allows for the free-flow transfer of ideas and includes a videoconference-ready conference room, adjustable-height desks, and a “phone booth” for private conversations.

All of these touches combine to make the new office one of the premiere workspaces in this sector of the industry, and one which will no doubt help MCM serve its clients even better.

MCM looks forward to a very bright future as it tackles larger and more complex and interesting challenges, and the company invites clients to visit their new office whenever they find themselves in the Newport area.
