Fincantieri started a road show in order Made in Italy products

Trieste, September 25, 2021 – Isotta Fraschini Motori, a Fincantieri subsidiary specialized in the production of diesel engines, started a road show to present its new 16V170 G engine to a selected audience of national companies, in order to strengthen Made in Italy products in the country's generator set sector.

The road show started today, and it will stop in several towns in Southern, Central and Northern Italy until October, 11. During each stop, planned at the premises of the most important Italian generator set manufacturers, it will be possible to experience first-hand the result of a long work carried out by the Innovation and Development Center of Isotta Fraschini Motori, also in the civil sector.

The initiative is carried out in the wake of IFuture, a research and development project of Isotta Fraschini Motori – which Fincantieri strongly supports – aimed at creating an engine for industrial use, as well as its “marinization” for the market of commercial marine engines (ferries, fishing boats, etc.), focusing on technologies supporting energy transition. IFuture provides for the recruitment of 32 employees with different qualifications thanks to the related contract program signed with the Puglia Region, stressing the Group’s strategy to focus on the skill capital which makes up the excellence represented by the Made in Italy companies, the most important asset of our country both in economic and reputational terms.
