Lynx Yachts is proud to announce that Hull 1 of the YXT 34 has officially entered the construction phase. Following the successful development of the model's General Arrangement, the first "spark" of steel cutting marks a pivotal moment for the Dutch shipyard, as it brings the largest evolution of the Yacht Xtender series to life.

A Vote of Confidence in Dutch Craftsmanship

The start of construction on Hull #1 is more than just a production milestone; it is a testament to the shipyard’s growing reputation in the shadow vessel sector.

"This contract symbolises our recognition as a premier builder of shadow vessels for the yachting industry," says Slim Bouricha, Founder of Lynx Yachts. "We were selected among competing shipyards for our quality and our ability to provide the owner with a design and specification that match exactly his requirements. The shipyard is going strong, and this build reflects our current momentum."

Evolution of the Series: The YXT 34 Defined

While the YXT 34 inherits the DNA of the successful YXT 27, this first build represents a significant leap in scale and sophistication. Offering a larger platform with enhanced carrying capacity and a refined interior, the 34-meter version is designed for owners who demand a "carry it all" functionality without sacrificing luxury.

The "Carry It All" Specification

On this specific unit, the storage capacity is pushed to its limits. The layout has been engineered to accommodate a remarkable inventory of exploration equipment, including:

-A large under-deck submarine
-An oversized primary tender
-A massive 4x4 expedition vehicle
-A fleet of jet skis

A Standalone Explorer for a Global Mission

In a departure from the traditional "shadow" role, the owner of Hull #1, described as a “young, highly athletic individual”, intends to use her as a standalone global explorer. To support this mission, the vessel features three luxurious guest cabins and an interior atmosphere defined by "soothing luxury," developed in close collaboration with the owner.

The Design Powerhouse

The realisation of this YXT 34 is the result of a high-level collaboration between Lynx Yachts’ internal team and leading industry partners:

-Exterior Design: Bernd Weel
-Interior Design: Julian Moore
-Naval Architecture: Diana Yacht Design

Timeline

With the steel now being shaped at the shipyard in the Netherlands, the first YXT 34 is on track for an estimated delivery in Q1 2028.
