Trick or treat: Ab Yachts and Maiora take everyone by surprise at the FLIBS
The international press and leading brokers gathered in the lounge of AB YACHTS – MAIORA today for the presentation of a brand-new project.
But AB YACHTS and MAIORA surprised everyone, presenting not one, but three new projects!
Roy Capasso, AB YACHTS Head of Sales, unveiled the new AB95.
This model takes forward the innovations introduced with the AB110, which was recently showcased at the European boat shows and which integrates all the technical and technological features developed by the brand in its 30 years' history, its reliability, engineering solutions, propulsion system, and construction materials with the new design concept by architect Marco Casamonti / Archea Associati.
The AB95 comes in two versions. The first follows in the wake of her larger sistership, combining stylish, generous convivial areas with the distinctive sporty technology of the brand to achieve the perfect marriage between comfort and adventure. She remains a sporty vessel characterised by incredible noiselessness and the absence of any vibrations, but can now offer even more onboard liveability, comfort, and unparalleled wellbeing. The exteriors and interiors are luxurious, airy, and extremely welcoming. A glaring example is the flybridge, where reverse glazing along the boat's profile further increases space and comfort and offers a wonderful outlook over the sea, accessible from the aft deck via two carbon-fibre external staircases.
The second version, the AB95 S, has been created for those Owners who are always pursuing the thrill of pure adrenaline and the unforgettable exhilaration of speeding on the water safely and stylishly. With her sinuous and sporty lines, the convertible roof top integrated in her streamlined profile, a cutting-edge propulsion system ensuring impressive performances in terms of speed, manoeuvring, efficiency and comfort, and ingenious functional solutions, this model can be truly be defined as a "racing car" of the sea, taking the pleasure of yachting to the next level.
Both models, it goes without saying, share a number of elements that are deeply rooted in the brand's DNA, such as ease of manoeuvre, efficiency (particularly at high cruising speeds), the absence of any vibrations, and maximum safety at all times.
Not to mention the smooth, free-flowing design consistency between exteriors and interiors and their unmatched loft-like comfort and style, perfect to spend time together or race on the sea without even noticing how fast the yacht is really going. All living spaces can be tailored to the Owners' wishes, allowing every Owner to create a yacht that will reflect their own personal onboard lifestyle and their unique way of finding the closest possible contact with the sea and nature, going beyond any stereotypes and setting creativity free. Free of discovering more in less time, but also of going everywhere thanks to a limited 4 ft draught, and enjoying unparalleled comfort at all times.
"This model embodies a new style of cruising – powerful, safe, efficient, noiseless, and immensely fascinating", Mr Capasso says proudly "We are certain the AB95 is going to meet, and exceed, our Owners' wishes and requirements".
MAIORA, on its part, decided to amaze the public as well: just when participants thought the event was coming to an end, Daniele Caronna, MAIORA Head of Sales, surprised everyone by revealing some details of the latest project in the fleet, the new Exuma 36., designed by Quartostile for exteriors and Acube Design for interiors.
This yacht is an interesting evolution of the multi-award winning model that redefined the concept of versatility by blending together the volumes, luxury and comfort of traditional flybridge yachts and the adventurous personality of an explorer – an innovative design concept that responded to the market's demand for glamour and exclusiveness at sea, be it on a relaxing cruise or on adventurous explorations.
Capable of surprising speeds for her segment (she can safely and comfortably reach a speed of 35 knots), the new Maiora 36 Exuma is truly one in her kind. Her very limited draught – 4.5 ft - offers the exclusive pleasure of exploring the wonderful Mediterranean beaches or the crystal-clear waters of the Caribbean without the slightest constraint, always peacefully immersed in nature.
“This model's brilliant performances and extraordinary onboard liveability are quite extraordinary on the market", says Mr Caronna “and this new 36-metre model is definitely going to stand out from the crowd of traditional yachts".
