Moonen celebrates launch and christening of eighth 122 Martinique
Moonen Yachts is delighted to announce the successful launch and christening of YN206, the eighth hull in its renowned 122 Martinique series, now named LOLLIPOP, at Moonen’s facilities in Den Bosch, The Netherlands. The 37.4m (122’8”) superyacht represents a highly personalised interpretation of one of the shipyard’s most popular models.
LOLLIPOP is constructed in high-tensile steel and engineered for long-range cruising with naval architecture by Diana Yacht Design and exterior styling by René van der Velden. She retains the hallmark qualities of the 122 Martinique series – transatlantic capability, exceptional comfort and refined Dutch craftsmanship – yet is unique through a collection of bespoke elements that reflect the experienced American owners’ vision.
Most striking is her sophisticated metallic hull finish, a dynamic blend of white, light silver and subtle blue-grey undertones, paired with a crisp white superstructure. The interior by Vripack Yacht Design is tailored to the owners’ vision creating a sense of warmth and individuality. Drawing on the Dutch studio’s holistic design philosophy, the spaces are curated to enhance comfort and connection to the sea.
The owners also worked with Vripack to elevate outdoor living, with a custom jacuzzi on the sun deck that’s distinguished by a playful front panel incorporating candy-inspired details. Its unique design is complemented by a bespoke cocktail bar with a transparent countertop embedded with lollipops and candy, and a front made from soft, pastel lighting tubes to create a real focal point for entertaining.
LOLLIPOP will now undergo sea trials in the North Sea ahead of final delivery to her owners.
“I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved with YN206,” said Ian Vermoen, Project Manager at Moonen Yachts. “This yacht demonstrates the strength of the 122 Martinique platform, while showcasing how closely we collaborate with our owners to bring their personal ideas to life.”
As Moonen Yachts continues to see strong demand for its 122 Martinique series, the launch reinforces the shipyard’s reputation for delivering refined, custom-built yachts that combine performance, elegance and individuality.
“Each Martinique that we build is unique, and LOLLIPOP perfectly illustrates the level of customisation we offer within a proven platform,” said Nicky van Zon, Managing Director of Moonen Yachts, and adds “We are proud to deliver a yacht that is both highly distinctive and unmistakable Moonen.”
