Next Yacht Group celebrates two new launches: Maiora 36 Exuma and AB 130
Next Yacht Group announces the launch of two new yachts designed to meet different yet complementary owner needs: on the one hand, the Maiora brand’s 36 Exuma, an expression of a new philosophy of living at sea characterized by freedom and connection with the surrounding environment; on the other, the AB 130, the flagship of the AB Yachts brand, which represents excellence in high-performance sailing, embodying the Group’s most sporty and high-performance vision.
The two new yachts demonstrate the shipyard’s ability to simultaneously develop projects that are distinct in concept, style, and use, while maintaining the same high standards of quality, technology, and craftsmanship that characterize its entire production. Two models that differ in their interpretation of life on board, yet are united by a pursuit of engineering excellence and particularly shallow drafts, striking a perfect balance between Italian design, technology, and comfort: further proof of the production strength and customization capabilities that the Viareggio-based yachting boutique has earned over the years.
“The delivery of the AB 130 and the Maiora 36 Exuma represents a significant achievement for our shipyard,” says Fabio Giangrasso, COO of Next Yacht Group. “We met our objectives on schedule, maintaining product quality, performance, and an obsessive attention to detail on board as our top priorities. We are pleased to have fully met the needs of the respective owners, confirming the shipyard’s ability to guarantee high standards both technically and in production. The team is motivated, united, and ready to tackle the new challenges ahead with determination.”
For Maiora, this marks the launch of the second unit of the 36 Exuma, an evolution of a model that has enjoyed significant international success and introduced a new interpretation of life at sea. The result of a collaboration between the shipyard, Quartostile, and Acube Design, the 36 Exuma ushers in a generation of yachts designed to redefine the relationship between humans and the marine environment.
With an overall length of 36.90 meters and a draft of just 1.45 meters, the Maiora 36 Exuma is designed to offer an uncompromising sailing experience, allowing access to bays, harbors, and shallow waters that are normally difficult to reach for yachts in this category. Its clean lines, sleek profile, and interior layout reflect a contemporary vision of yachting, focused on maximum connection with the sea and a freer, more natural way of life on board.
From a technical standpoint, 36 Exuma combines high performance with exceptional efficiency thanks to a configuration featuring three 2,000-hp MAN V12 engines paired with two MJP steerable waterjets and a central MJP booster. This solution enables a top speed of 33 knots, while ensuring both maneuverability and comfort. The presence of gyroscopic stabilizers, operational both at anchor and underway, completes the profile of a yacht designed for owners who wish to combine exploration, comfort, and performance.
AB Yachts has always been synonymous with speed, innovation, and technological research. With the launch of the third unit of AB 130, the brand takes another step forward in the evolution of its range. As the flagship of the series, the AB 130 represents a new frontier for the shipyard in terms of design, livability, and technological features.
With an overall length of 39.65 meters, the AB 130 embodies the evolution of the brand’s sporty DNA through expanded volumes, an even more striking presence, and an architectural clarity that enhances the relationship between interior and exterior. The elongated silhouette, taut and sleek lines, and advanced waterjet propulsion system give life to a yacht that dominates the sea with power and ease, designed for owners who wish to transform speed into a form of contemporary luxury.
The AB 130 also introduces a new concept of onboard spaces. The large windows of the completely redesigned salon increase natural light and strengthen the connection with the sea, while the spacious sundeck and open-air cinema allow guests to enjoy the outdoor spaces at any time of day. At the bow is a refined lounge dedicated to relaxation, while at the stern, the retractable side wings significantly expand the beach area, creating a fully equipped platform on the water for leisure and socializing.
Among the yacht’s distinctive features is the propulsion system consisting of two MJP steerable water jets and a central MJP booster, paired with three MTU engines of 2,600 HP each, a configuration that allows for a top speed of 41 knots while maintaining high levels of comfort and maneuverability, as well as the ability to access shallow-water areas thanks to a shallow draft of just 1.30 meters. The lightweight construction, a hallmark of AB Yachts, helps maximize efficiency, acceleration, and stability both underway and at anchor, thanks in part to a gyroscopic stabilizer that operates at both zero speed and while underway.
Both units, the 36 Exuma and the AB130, will be delivered to their owners during summer 2026.
