Princess Yachts is delighted to confirm that the all-new X90 remains firmly on track for its highly anticipated summer debut. With three yachts already in build and a fourth hull about to enter production, momentum across the programme continues to build.

At Princess Yachts’ Plymouth headquarters, the first X90 has reached a major construction milestone, with the deck, canopy and hardtop structures now successfully installed. This achievement enables full access for the next phase of fit-out, which is already well underway, marking a significant step forward in the development of this ground-breaking new model.

As the first Princess yacht to feature an expandable beach club-style cockpit, the X90 represents an exciting evolution for the brand. Fold-down terraces to port and starboard dramatically extend the already expansive cockpit, enhancing the sense of space and creating a seamless connection to the water. These drop-down balconies transform the cockpit into a spectacular beach club environment, offering both open and shaded spaces that deliver a refined waterside sanctuary at sea.

Designed to blur the boundaries between inside and out, the X90 places a strong emphasis on exterior living and waterside connection. Curved patio doors link the main deck dining area directly to the cockpit, bringing interior dining effortlessly outdoors. A more open cockpit and infinity-style glass transom redefine the aft vista, opening the yacht to panoramic views and creating an unmistakable sense of light, space and freedom.

A defining feature of the X90 is its revolutionary ‘Super Flybridge’, a signature hallmark of the X Class range. This innovative arrangement seamlessly integrates an enclosed flybridge helm and Skylounge with a generous open-air flybridge deck. Relocating the yacht’s primary helm to here unlocks significantly greater volume on the main deck,

enabling more expansive, flexible living areas and further enhancing the sense of space throughout the yacht.

Positioned between the X80 and the flagship X95 Vista, the X90 builds on the exceptional spatial innovation that defines the X Class, delivering an immersive onboard experience that brings owners closer to their environment than ever before.

Revolutionary Princess Hybrid Progressive-Planing Hull The X90 also introduces an entirely new hull form for Princess Yachts: the innovative Princess Hybrid Progressive-Planing (H.P.P.) hull. Developed in partnership with Olesinski, this advanced design combines Princess’ renowned seakeeping and handling with cutting-edge hydrodynamics to deliver improved efficiency, extended range and exceptional performance.

Engineered to optimise performance across the full speed range, the H.P.P. hull seamlessly balances efficient low-speed cruising with confident high-speed planing. As a result, the X90 requires 10% less power above 16 knots than the Princess Y85 (when displacements are normalised), while matching the Y85’s fuel burn below 10 knots despite being approximately 18 tonnes heavier.

With multiple yachts progressing through production and further builds imminent, the Princess X90 represents one of the most exciting and innovative launches to date. As the programme gathers pace, Princess Yachts looks forward to unveiling the X90 on the water this summer.

“Reaching this stage of the X90 programme is a significant milestone for Princess Yachts,” said Will Green, CEO of Princess Yachts. “With the canopy and hardtop now in place, we are well advanced in the fit-out stage and moving ever closer to unveiling a yacht that truly redefines the X Class. The X90 combines groundbreaking features such as the Super Flybridge and fold-down terraces that transform the cockpit into a spectacular shaded beach club. Its open, flowing design maximises space, light and connection to the sea, while delivering the performance, efficiency, craftsmanship and elegance that define Princess.”

The Princess X90 represents the next evolution in luxury yachting, combining iconic Princess design with advanced engineering and outstanding efficiency to set a new benchmark for the future of X Class yachts.
