Silver Arrows Marine "S-Class of the Seas" to be available in Cabrio Form

•             Open Cabrio version and Limousine to join ARROW460-Granturismo in expanding range

•             Motor industry-inspired range of body styles a first in the marine world

•             All three yachts designed by Mercedes-Benz Style

Montecarlo, 25 September 2018 -  The first tantalising glimpse of the forthcoming ARROW460-Cabrio, convertible version of the acclaimed “Mercedes-Benz S-Class of the seas”, is revealed today.

The teaser outline confirms that none of the ARROW460’s stunning Mercedes-inspired looks have been lost in the transition from Granturismo to Cabrio, despite moving from a coupe profile to a full open top.

With its large new deck area, the Cabrio aims to provide the most comfortable and sophisticated fresh-air experience in the 14m motor yacht sector. Full details of the ARROW460-Cabrio will be released after its design freeze, scheduled for next year.

The Cabrio is just one part of Silver Arrows Marine’s plan for a full range of body styles following the launch of the ARROW460-Granturismo. The innovative company also confirms that an ARROW460-Limousine is being developed as a third model in the ARROW series.

Using the same hull, powertrain and hydraulics systems with a range of body styles parallels common motor industry practice but is thought to be a first in the marine world.

A trio of Silver Arrows will provide the Monaco-based company with a coupe/convertible/sedan line-up that directly mirrors that of the S-Class range of its partner, Mercedes-Benz.

Like the Granturismo, the Cabrio and the Limousine are being designed for Silver Arrows Marine by Mercedes-Benz Style.

Assembly of two ARROW460–Granturismos is currently underway. One yacht is the exclusive Edition1 and the second commission is for the Pearl White version, with delivery of both scheduled for 2019.

Design work with Mercedes-Benz Style on both ARROW460–Cabrio and ARROW460–Limousine is ongoing, affording potential owners a unique opportunity to become involved in the project and add their own bespoke style ahead of the design

“One way Silver Arrows Marine challenges accepted marine conventions is by modelling much of what we do on the car industry, and with this model expansion programme that approach is paying off in the most exciting way imaginable,” said Jacopo Spadolini, Silver Arrows Marine’s CEO.

“The innovative and modular way in which all ARROW460s are built allows us to adapt the same basic ‘chassis’ for different body styles in the same way that a range of cars uses the same platform.”

While the Granturismo offers overnight facilities for two, the Cabrio and Limousine replace the accommodation for larger deck and cabin areas respectively. The Cabrio’s rear deck, with its extending swim platform, doubles in size to roughly 20 square meters. The Limousine’s large and open-plan cabin will be available in two formats: one for 10 people, and a VIP cabin with four captain’s chairs.

In both cases, the yachts retain the bespoke luxury and hi-tech convenience that have marked out the ARROW460-Granturismo since its launch.

Jacopo Spadolini  added: “People buying a luxury car expect a choice of sedan, coupe or cabrio styles and soon that will be exactly the choice available with the ARROW460 range.”
