Wider at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025: technology and design with the WiderCat 92
Wider returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival 2025 with its innovative catamaran WiderCat 92, the perfect ambassador of the shipyard’s philosophy, once again taking center stage at this year’s edition. The yacht will be on display at stand QML034 – Quai Max Laubeuf, from September 9 to 14. True to its pioneering spirit, Wider has always stood out for a unique approach to yachting, where technology, design and eco-conscious soul merge to redefine life on board. Hybrid and electric propulsion, refined interiors and clever space solutions have made the brand a benchmark for innovation and vision in the industry. The Cannes Yachting Festival will once again be the stage to experience Wider’s technological and creative DNA through the model that best embodies its values.
WiderCat 92
The WiderCat 92 sets a new benchmark in the luxury catamaran segment. Designed by Luca Dini Design & Architecture in collaboration with the Wider Centro Stile, this 28-meter fiberglass yacht blends elegance, functionality, and cutting-edge technology, reinterpreting multihull aesthetics with a contemporary twist.
The interiors impress with generous volumes and brightness: the main deck is dominated by the full-beam owner’s suite, a true private retreat complete with lounge area and direct access to the forward deck. The two hulls host two VIP cabins and one twin guest cabin, with the option of a fourth cabin layout. A main-deck galley and a panoramic aft cockpit foster conviviality and seamless connection with the sea.
Outside, a convertible garage doubles as a beach club, while fold-down bulwarks open into spacious sea terraces directly accessible from the VIP cabins. The upper deck features a panoramic lounge, helm station and an additional forward cockpit.
At its heart lies the serial hybrid propulsion system, ensuring silent, low-emission cruising: up to two hours of zero-emission navigation at 6 knots in full-electric mode, supported at anchor by 80 m² of solar panels. This solution reduces emissions while eliminating noise and vibration, combining efficiency with sustainability.
Completing the profile is the advanced 3D digital cockpit, an integrated interface that simplifies onboard management and system control. True to Wider’s hallmark, craftsmanship and uncompromising quality are central to the yacht’s construction. As Marcello Maggi, head of W-Fin Sarl (the holding company owning 100% of Wider), states: “The WiderCat 92 is a synthesis of vision, craftsmanship and technology, setting a new standard in yachting.”
More than just a catamaran, the WiderCat 92 is a manifesto of the Wider philosophy: beauty, comfort, and innovation at the service of a better future at sea.
WiderCat 76
Alongside the WiderCat 92, the shipyard continues to develop other projects that highlight its versatility and ability to address different market segments. The WiderCat 76, under construction at the new Wider Vision Hub in Fano, is once again the result of collaboration with Luca Dini Design & Architecture. It represents the natural evolution of the WiderCat 92 in a more compact version, while maintaining a distinct identity. With a length of 23 meters and a beam of 10.4 meters, this model offers the spaces of larger monohulls in a more agile dimension.
A main-deck owner’s suite, three guest cabins, a spacious salon and multiple outdoor living areas deliver a sophisticated, contemporary lifestyle. Its stylistic inspiration recalls the atmosphere of the Hamptons reinterpreted through a nautical lens, with elegant interiors, herringbone flooring and dark oak details.
WiLder 60
The WiLder 60 explores the world of sporty, high-performance yachts. With aggressive lines and a dynamic vocation, it embodies the brand’s wilder side—dedicated to owners seeking speed, thrills, and uncompromising style. Entirely developed in-house by the Wider Centro Stile, WiLder 60 expands Wider’s portfolio, strengthening the link between bold design and advanced technology.
Moonflower 72
Construction of the Moonflower 72 continues at the Wider Superyacht Hub in Venice. In collaboration with Nauta Design, this superyacht combines modern yet timeless design with seamless connection to the sea—core values of the studio. Clean lines, fluid continuity between exteriors and interiors, extensive use of glass and soft contours strike the perfect balance between elegance and dynamism.
The patented “The Island” system expands the beach club with folding terraces, enhancing the onboard experience. Built by Wider, the yacht features a serial hybrid propulsion system and advanced technologies that optimize energy consumption, enable power recovery and integrate AI to maximize comfort and efficiency.
