Nox Oceani is a team founded in 2021 with the goal of projecting the sport of sailing in Sardinia into the future, embracing concepts of development and, above all, implementing principles of inclusion and sustainability.

Since the formation of its competitive team, Team Nox Oceani has established itself on the international stage thanks to its Under-23 youth team, which has participated in the most important national and international sailing events, culminating in victory at the RS21 World Championship in 2023 and 2024, following numerous titles won on national and international regatta fields.

With about 30 athletes competing across numerous international regatta fields, Nox Oceani participated in five classes in 2024: RS21, J24, Snipe, RS Aero, and Optimist, achieving outstanding competitive results.
Nox Oceani is also about sustainability, which is expressed through sport and the production of the first ecological Optimist ever built, entirely made in Sardinia. With this project, based on a dinghy that is globally recognized as the ultimate training boat, the goal is to contribute to the spread of sailing—a sport that is inherently ecological—while ensuring no polluting materials are introduced into the environment. With this ambitious project, now a tangible and seaworthy reality, Nox Oceani reaffirms its role as a catalyst, inspiring new generations toward sailing and environmental respect.

Building on its achievements, Nox Oceani’s future plans include organizing educational, sporting, cultural, and social initiatives while maintaining its competitive commitment to the most important and prestigious national and international regattas.

Nox Oceani is based in Sardinia, and the island is the focus of numerous activities promoting its territory, through both its image and concrete actions to actively contribute to environmental respect and principles of inclusion. Through its sporting and cultural initiatives, Nox Oceani attracts athletes and enthusiasts from around the world to the island year-round, actively contributing to the diversification of the tourist offering beyond the traditional peak seasons.
In 2024, among the classes that have entered Nox Oceani's sphere of interest is the Nacra 17, a true powerhouse and a global benchmark for professional sailing due to its quality, speed, and durability. This foiling multihull racing machine represents a new challenge for Nox Oceani, as the team prepares to train with the goal of competing in the Olympics.
2024 was also the year for consolidating previously launched projects, such as the Nox Oceani Academy, established in 2023 in preparation for the RS21 World Championship in Porto Rotondo and dedicated to the four competing teams. The coach, Camillo Zucconi, is a high-level professional in competitive sailing, ensuring athletic preparation suited for the most demanding international competitions.

Meanwhile, Nox Oceani has also become a sailing club affiliated with the Italian Sailing Federation, continuing to train and prepare its athletes—whether they aim for professional careers or wish to improve their racing skills.
In 2024, Nox Oceani’s numerous activities and initiatives did not go unnoticed by national and international press, which dedicated multiple articles not only to the team's successes but also to initiatives supporting the principles of sustainability and inclusion that drive the project.
