Since the beginning of its collaboration with Gulf Craft in 2001, HP Watermakers has been proud to stand alongside Gulf Craft, contributing to the outfitting of all the exclusive yachts produced at its modern facility in Umm Al Quwain, United Arab Emirates. This partnership has been renewed once again with the new Majesty 100 Terrace, a highly praised star of this years Dubai International Yacht Show.

“Every yacht presents new challenges in meeting the needs of both designers and owners,” explains Gianni Zucco, co-founder of HP Watermakers. “The Majesty 100 Terrace was no exception, where we installed our HP SCD DOUBLE 260 watermaker, which we had introduced just a year ago at the Cannes Yachting Festival. As has been the case throughout our longstanding collaboration with Gulf Craft, HP Watermakers has once again taken care of the entire onboard water system. In addition to the watermaker, we have installed sterilization and potable water softening systems.”

The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 RP TRONIC Watermaker
The HP SCD series consists of five models capable of producing between 260 l/h and 1,200 l/h of fresh water. A standout feature is its complete automation, ensured by the RP Tronic system, which offers a significant advantage over manual watermakers. This system eliminates the need for continuous pressure adjustments in the engine room to accommodate fluctuations in salinity and water temperature. Most importantly, it performs an efficient end-of-cycle rinse with the valve fully open, eliminating the need for periodic chemical membrane washing.

The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 installed on the Majesty 100 Terrace consists of two independent watermakers housed within the same box. It has been designed to optimize onboard energy consumption while simultaneously meeting peak potable water demands. For example, during transfers or periods of low yacht usage, a single watermaker is sufficient, but when cruising with guests, both units operate to meet all onboard requirements. Moreover, in the unfortunate event of a failure, a second working watermaker is always available. Additionally, relocating the low-pressure pumps has allowed for a reduction in the box’s dimensions, greatly improving accessibility within the engine room. The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 measures 1,100 mm in length, 500 mm in height, and 600 mm in depth, with a weight of 130 kg. It has an hourly output ranging from 2x260 to 2x320 l/h and an installed power of 2x2.2 kW.
