The Barcelona International Boat Show to gather more than 240 marinas
The Barcelona International Boat Show will return to Port Vell this coming October, where it will showcase the range of services of over 240 marina and port facilities. These will be featured in the new covered pavilion at Moll de la Fusta, one of the major highlights of this year’s edition. Visitors will be able to discover nautical destinations, services, and leisure boating opportunities from across Spain and the Mediterranean.
In its 63rd edition, Spain’s leading boating event will place greater emphasis on activities linked to recreational and leisure boating. Under the theme SeaMotion, the show will install a marquee at Moll de la Fusta that will serve as a meeting point for marinas, nautical destinations, and the diving centres. This new space, Marinas & Harbour Facilities, will feature the direct and indirect participation of more than 240 port facilities, showcasing their services and the opportunities they offer as nautical destinations.
Participants will include organisations such as the Andalusian Public Ports Agency, which represents more than 30 marinas; the Catalan Association of Marinas and Tourist Ports (ACPET), representing 48 facilities along the entire Catalan coastline; and the Spanish Federation of Marinas and Tourist Ports (Marinas de España), with more than 150 marinas spread across the whole of Spain.
This institutional representation will be complemented by a strong presence of ports and marinas exhibiting directly at the show, including Port Olímpic de Barcelona, Club Nàutic Estartit, Club Nàutic l’Escala, Club Nàutic El Balís, Marina Empuriabrava, Port de Premià, Port de Torredembarra, Marina de Burriananova, Marina de Ceuta, Marina Lanzarote, Marina Baiona, Gijón Marina, Port Segur-Calafell, and Varadero Port Nàutic Castelló. At the international level, the Port of Alghero in Sardinia and several ports from Sicily will also be represented.
Partnership with Marinas
This new exhibition area is the result of an agreement between the Barcelona International Boat Show and ACPET, whose mission is to defend the interests of the sector while promoting joint initiatives in marketing, training, sustainability, and innovation.
The project is also supported by the Spanish Federation of Marina and Tourist Port Associations (Marinas de España), which has joined the initiative with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of nautical facilities and highlighting the economic and social contribution of nautical tourism.
The roofed pavilion’s offering will be completed by the Diving, Shopping & Water Sports area, dedicated to promoting water sports, particularly scuba diving, which returns to the show in this year’s edition.
Organised by Fira de Barcelona with the collaboration of the Spanish National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the Barcelona International Boat Show will once again bring together the latest innovations in the boating industry from 14 to 18 October, ranging from the newest recreational craft models to a wide display of motor yachts, sailing yachts, and catamarans of all sizes, with more than 130 brands already confirmed.
