Multiplex with new COO Marko Böhme
Multiplex: Marko Böhme is now the new Chief Operating Officer
When the highest quality carbon equipment for superyachts is required, most owners and captains turn to products from multiplex. The Bremen-based manufacturer of swim ladders, gangways, fender and sun awning systems has already equipped around 75 percent of the world's largest yachts.
Now the world market leader, founded in 1986 by Jan Reiners, has brought further reinforcements on board: Marko Böhme is now acting as Chief Operating Officer at multiplex. The 51-year-old brings a wealth of experience to the company. Böhme sailed as a captain in passenger shipping, served in the German Navy as a staff officer and worked on land in leading technical positions at various commercial and cruise shipping companies and ship managers, including in the Netherlands and Switzerland. At Bremer Lloyd he was Fleet Manager and at the US luxury cruise operator Crystal Cruises he was responsible for compliance projects as well as newbuilds and refits. As CTO at Oceanwide Expeditions and as a member of the extended management team at the United Waterways Group, Böhme built up his experience in the industry before joining multiplex as Chief Operating Officer.
Jan Reiners, CEO of multiplex, comments on Böhme's commitment as follows: “I am delighted to have gained such an experienced manager for multiplex. With Marko Böhme, we are strengthening our team in an excellent way and will further expand our already outstanding position in the market.”
Marko Böhme adds: “I am looking forward to the task and to contributing my expertise and drive to the team and the processes. It is certainly not a disadvantage that I have mainly worked on the customer side in the past, i.e. purchasing equipment. From this perspective, the qualities in production but also in sales can definately be significantly supported and improved.”
