Ferretti Group has launched the new Itama 54 at its Marina di Ravenna shipyard: a 16-metre open cruiser featuring a dual cockpit configuration.

The first unit of the Itama 54 was launched on July 11 in Marina di Ravenna. The new model marks the brand’s return to the open runabout segment between 50 and 59 feet, introducing a number of technical and functional updates compared to previous models.

Developed through the collaboration between Ferretti Group’s Product Strategy Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the Engineering Department, the Itama 54 features an optimised layout for both exterior and interior spaces, with a focus on comfort and usability. The interior and exterior styling is by Tommaso De Luca.

From a design perspective, the model retains the brand’s signature clean and sleek lines, while introducing several new elements: a large foredeck sunpad integrated into the coachroof, an outward-sloping transom that visually elongates the profile, and full-length side windows that give the hull a lighter, more streamlined look. A notable functional change concerns the access to the foredeck, now positioned to starboard of the windscreen, allowing easier passage while keeping the companionway open.

The main deck layout introduces a new configuration for Itama, with two distinct cockpits: the aft cockpit, equipped with a table that can be fitted with an optional lifting mechanism, and a second, forward cockpit adjacent to the windscreen, sheltered from wind and spray when underway. Both areas are served by a bar unit on the port side, which also houses the helm station, complete with ergonomic seating and a newly designed floating dashboard.

Below deck, the layout includes two cabins – the owner’s forward cabin and a guest cabin amidships – two bathrooms, a fully equipped galley, and a dinette area.

In terms of propulsion, the Itama 54 is available with two MAN engine options, both based on the I6 platform. The standard version is powered by a pair of 730 hp engines, offering a top speed of 33 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. Alternatively, a more powerful configuration with two 850 hp engines is available, providing estimated performance of 37 knots top speed and 33 knots cruising.
