Project Y729 moves to outfitting Facilities
Project Y729, an 80-meter yacht developed by Oceanco, is being transported from its construction site in Zwijndrecht to the outfitting facilities in Alblasserdam. The yacht is scheduled for completion and delivery in 2027.
The yacht, with a displacement of 2,600 gross tons, has been designed with an exterior by Espen Øino International and an interior by Zuretti Design. Technical representation is provided by Arrow Monaco. The vessel will accommodate up to 14 guests and 28 crew members.
Y729 is the inaugural project under Oceanco's Simply Custom initiative, which aims to streamline the yacht-building process while maintaining high standards. This platform allows owners to incorporate personalized design features on a pre-established technical foundation. The yacht's dimensions include a beam of 13.8 meters and a propulsion system that is diesel-electric, achieving a top speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots.
According to Erwin de Looff, Oceanco Project Director, the use of the Simply Custom technical backbone facilitated the project's rapid progress. The owners, who are building their first yacht after years of chartering, have been actively involved in the process, emphasizing the importance of family time aboard their new vessel.

The owners have expressed their satisfaction with the collaboration, noting the strong chemistry between themselves, the designers, and the shipyard. They describe the project as a joyful experience, with each milestone celebrated as a significant achievement.
Noel Walsh, Managing Partner at Arrow Marine, highlighted the strengths of the Simply Custom platform, emphasizing its role in accelerating the build while ensuring innovation and engineering excellence. The transition to the outfitting phase marks a major milestone in the project.
Y729's main characteristics include a length of 80 meters, a beam of 13.8 meters, and a gross tonnage of 2,600. The yacht's exterior design is by Espen Øino International, with interior design by Zuretti Design. Naval architecture is a collaboration between Oceanco and Lateral Naval Architects, with technical representation by Arrow Monaco.
The yacht's propulsion system is diesel-electric, allowing for a top speed of 21 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. The project is expected to be completed and delivered in 2027, marking a significant achievement for all parties involved.
