The Bering 78, a 23.85-metre shallow-draft steel explorer yacht, was launched at the Bering Yachts shipyard in Antalya on January 12, 2026. The event marked a significant milestone for the company and the yacht's owner.

The launch ceremony was attended by the yacht's owner, who expressed gratitude to the Bering team for realizing his long-held dream. He eagerly anticipates the upcoming sea trials to experience the yacht's performance.

The Bering 78 represents an evolution from the successful B70 series, offering increased volume, flexibility, and comfort while maintaining Bering's core attributes of seaworthiness and long-range capability. The yacht is powered by twin Cummins QSL 9 engines, each providing 285 HP, allowing for a cruising speed of 8 knots and a top speed of 10 knots. Its fuel-efficient hull design enables a range exceeding 3,000 nautical miles.

The yacht's shallow draft of 1.45 meters allows access to coastal anchorages and remote bays typically inaccessible to similar-sized vessels. A distinctive feature of the Bering 78 is its reverse-raked bow, designed to cut through waves and reduce pitching, ensuring a smoother ride.

Internally, the yacht features a contemporary and comfortable design with carefully selected materials. The layout includes spacious guest and service areas, offering opportunities for personalization, a hallmark of Bering's design philosophy.

The Bering 78 demonstrates that a yacht does not need to be exceptionally large to provide explorer capabilities, autonomy, and comfort. It is designed to navigate diverse environments, from shallow lagoons to open oceans, with confidence.

Bering Yachts, known for designing and building semi-custom, steel-hulled expedition yachts, employs over 200 skilled craftsmen at its Antalya facility. The company emphasizes structural integrity, system redundancy, and the use of commercial-grade components to ensure reliability and seaworthiness.
