Heesen Yachts welcomes 2026, the Year of the Fire Horse, with renewed energy and a focus on new projects. The company reflects on 2025's transformations and looks forward to significant milestones in yacht construction.

In 2025, Heesen Yachts experienced a pivotal transformation with the arrival of new owner Laurens Last. This change marked a new chapter for the shipyard, allowing it to push the boundaries of Dutch yacht building. The Year of the Snake, symbolizing wisdom and renewal, was fitting for this period of evolution.

As 2026 begins, Heesen embraces the dynamic energy of the Fire Horse. This sign is associated with activity and energy, reflecting the atmosphere at the shipyard. The first quarter of the year is particularly busy, with significant milestones in yacht construction.

In January, the hull and superstructure of Project Evita (YN 21557), a 57-metre aluminium yacht, will be joined. This marks a major step forward in the construction process. The momentum continues into March with the launch of Project Sophia (YN 21150), a 50-metre aluminium yacht. This vessel will showcase sleek lines and a new livery, highlighting its unique performance characteristics.

Project Frida (YN 21055), a 55-metre steel yacht, will also make progress as it leaves the outfitting shed to undergo sea trials in the North Sea. These trials are crucial for ensuring the yacht's performance and safety.

In April, Heesen will launch Project Setteesettanta (YN 20857), a full custom 57-metre yacht designed for a repeat client. This yacht features four decks and a shallow draft, making it suitable for the Bahamas. The interior design by Cristiano Gatto adds to its appeal.

Heesen's CEO, Jeroen van der Meer, notes that while 2025 was about transformation, 2026 is focused on action. The company plans to deliver a total of 162 linear metres and 2,179 gross tons of yachts this year.

Looking ahead, Heesen is preparing for the launch of the smart custom YN 21255 Project Angelica in October. Additionally, new designs are in development, promising to redefine standards in the 50-to-70-metre market.

With a robust order book and a revitalised strategic vision, Heesen is poised to deliver exceptional Dutch quality and innovation throughout 2026.
