FIM – Fabbrica Italiana Motoscafi will present the 580 Contessa in world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2026. The new model marks the yard's entry into the sport-fly segment. The boat is the flagship of the range and the first model in the Contessa line, which sits alongside the existing Regina range.

Exterior design is by the yard with Design aLot. The flybridge is integrated into the profile without breaking the hull line. At the stern, folding side terraces open to create a beach area at water level. Forward, the sunpad converts into a seating area.

The interiors, designed with Studio Nerocardinale, are arranged around a saloon with electrically operated side glazing and a louvred opening roof. The galley extends from the saloon to the cockpit, with a fully flat floor throughout. The sleeping quarters include three cabins plus two crew berths. The owner's suite is located in the most private area of the vessel.

"580 Contessa is a very important step for FIM, because it marks the beginning of a new design direction," said Corrado Piccinelli, founder and CEO of FIM. "At Cannes we are presenting the international public not only a new model, but a vision of growth. The 580 Contessa, the Regina range and the new 400 Contessa Coupé project represent a coherent path, built around design, quality and the ability to interpret the contemporary way of experiencing the sea."

"With 580 Contessa we wanted to give owners back the true value of their free time: the possibility of living the sea at their own pace, sharing every moment with family and guests," added Manuela Barcella, co-founder of FIM. "I like to think of this yacht as a space that transforms along with the people who live it; it's a yacht that changes throughout the day, capable of offering the energy of cruising, the carefree feeling of outdoor living and, in the evening, an intimate and personal place to relax."

At Cannes, FIM will also exhibit the 500 Regina and 440 Regina and will reveal the first details of the 400 Contessa Coupé project, currently in development and expected in spring 2027. The yard has also recently announced a new Tender Division.

FIM, founded in 2019 and based in Cividate al Piano (Bergamo), was established by Corrado Piccinelli, Manuela Barcella and investor partner Vannis Marchi, co-founder of Liu Jo. The dealer network covers Europe, North and Central America and the Mediterranean.
