Benetti unveils Oasis 36M at the Cannes Yachting Festival

Benetti presented Oasis 36M at the Cannes Yachting Festival. The model extends the Oasis family and continues the yard's work with British studio RWD on exterior design and with Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture on the interiors.

Benetti says the project is based on experience gathered from Oasis units already in service and on direct feedback from owners and captains.

"Oasis 36M comes from listening," says Sebastiano Vida, Head of Product at Benetti. "With dozens of units in service, we had a unique opportunity to observe and hear directly how owners and their crews really experience the sea today. Oasis 36M is the direct synthesis of that collective intelligence: a project that does not simply add centimetres or technical details, but reinterprets naval architecture, onboard spaces and technological innovation to serve exactly the lifestyle, the pace and the real priorities of those who go to sea."

The outdoor areas have been enlarged: sun deck, upper deck terrace and the Oasis Deck®. Inside, the layout has been reworked to cut back structural elements and to keep guest and crew circulation separate.

Benetti's R&D department developed a new bulbous bow that cuts hydrodynamic resistance by more than 10% at 10 knots. At cruising speed, propulsion consumption stays below 30 litres per hour for each engine. Fuel tank capacity has been reduced on the basis of fleet usage data, which point to a growing preference for time at anchor; the volume freed up went to the grey and black water tanks, which now reach 5,000 litres.

Mechanical and deck operations — garage doors, lifting mechanisms and the fold-down wings of the Oasis Deck — move from hydraulic systems to electric actuators. Benetti lists the results as no risk of oil leaks, simpler maintenance and no mechanical noise or vibration for guests.

The conventional propulsion line remains the standard configuration. As an alternative, the yacht can be fitted with a hybrid system based on Siemens Siship EcoProp, a plug-in technology that according to the yard reduces emissions, consumption and noise.

Oasis 36M carries SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) systems for emissions control, which international rules do not require for vessels below 500 GT.

Benetti is also introducing D.gree, a platform developed with SailADV that combines a digital twin, structural models and machine learning algorithms to monitor the hull's physical and fluid dynamic parameters in real time. The system is designed to detect anomalies and anticipate maintenance on engines and generators.
