Galeon 800 FLY debuts at Cannes as the yard's flagship
Galeon Yachts is presenting the 800 FLY, the new top model in its range, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, where the yacht makes its European debut. It measures 25.71 metres overall with a maximum beam of 5.89 metres; hull length is 23.68 metres and hull beam 5.79 metres.
The yacht is powered by twin engines of at least 1,432 kW (1,920 hp) each and reaches a maximum speed of about 31 knots. Maximum draft is 1.74 metres and total weight 63,013 kilograms. Fuel capacity is 2 x 2,735 litres, with 420 litres for grey water and 860 litres for black water. The 800 FLY is a category B yacht with a limit of 18 people.
The lower deck houses the full-beam owner's suite amidships, with its own ensuite bathroom. The VIP cabin is in the bow, and two further guest cabins complete the accommodation, each with a private bathroom. The crew cabin is separate and located aft.
On the main deck, the saloon has a seating area to starboard and, to port, a sofa, a pop-up television and a bar. Further forward are the fully equipped galley and, opposite it, the dining area. The two-seat navigation station sits next to the stairway down to the cabins.
The flybridge is laid out with two seating areas built around C-shaped sofas, wet bars and sunpads, plus a two-seat upper helm station. In the cockpit, the dining area has two tables and seats up to twelve people, and the hydraulic bathing platform is used to launch and recover the tender. The foredeck has a U-shaped sofa with table, a sunbathing area and movable seats that allow different layouts.
