Bellini Yacht enters the superyacht market with Eternal 36
Bellini Yacht takes a significant step in its industrial development by entering the superyacht segment with Eternal 36, the first model in a new range intended to span the 30-to-50-metre market. The project also marks the shipyard’s debut in mixed steel-and-aluminium construction and introduces a platform conceived for unrestricted ocean cruising. Eternal 36 is a 36.13-metre full-custom explorer yacht arranged across four principal decks and with a gross tonnage below 300 GT. The project is classed by RINA and fully compliant with the Red Ensign Group Yacht Code; the hull, developed and validated through extensive CFD analysis, has been engineered to optimise efficiency, fuel consumption and cruising comfort. Propulsion is provided by twin Caterpillar C18 ACERT engines compliant with IMO Tier III standards: the declared top speed is 13.5 knots, cruising speed is 12 knots, while at an economical speed of 10 knots the range exceeds 4,000 nautical miles.

Bellini Yacht’s entry into the superyacht sector required the creation of a dedicated structure bringing together specific expertise. The shipyard’s technical department, with Davide Benaglia leading the exterior design, works alongside Hydro Tec, responsible for naval architecture and marine engineering; m2atelier developed the interiors, while Nicolai Yacht Consulting is responsible for business development, product development and project management. The Bellini Superyacht Division is headed by Francesco Frediani, who has more than thirty years of international experience in the yachting industry. From a technical perspective, one of the key elements of Eternal 36 is Bellini Yacht’s first use of mixed steel-and-aluminium construction: Hydro Tec developed the naval engineering with particular attention to volume distribution, weight management, centre of gravity, acoustic comfort and performance. The propulsion package is complemented by active stabilisation systems operating both underway and at anchor, together with dedicated engineering solutions designed to reduce vibration and noise.

The explorer concept, however, is not limited to range and structural strength. A significant proportion of the yacht’s volumes is dedicated to onboard liveability, including a spacious beach club aft with an integrated swimming pool and tender garage. Large glazed surfaces and sliding doors between the salons and exterior decks create continuity between indoor and outdoor areas. For the interiors, m2atelier developed the “Interiors to Touch” concept, based on the tactile qualities of materials, soft forms and a continuous spatial flow that brings the language of the exterior architecture inside. Smoked oak, walnut and timber surfaces are combined with pale travertine, light fabrics and soft grey leather, while lighting, acoustics and technology are integrated with minimal visual presence, allowing materials and craftsmanship to remain at the centre of the design.

According to Battista Bellini, CEO of Bellini Yacht Group, the move into superyachts stems from a strategy aimed at transferring the company’s accumulated expertise into a new market segment and represents an acceleration of its growth and development plan. In recent years, the group has invested in strengthening both the company and its team, with the stated objective of positioning the brand around build quality, engineering culture and enduring value rather than production volumes. Eternal 36 therefore represents the starting point of a range that Bellini Yacht plans to expand in the coming years. Its commercial strategy has also been developed on an international scale: Royal Yacht Sarl and Worth Avenue Yachts have been appointed Central Sales Agencies for the project and will oversee sales and marketing activities across the world’s key yachting markets.
