The European Ocean Race in Matosinhos-Porto: More Than Just a Stopover

The cruise terminal of Matosinhos-Porto, designed by architect Luis Pedro Silva, hosted the fly-by of the second leg of The Ocean Race Europe 2025, from Portsmouth to Cartagena. The three-hour stopover highlighted the strong commitment of local authorities. “This is just the beginning—we want Matosinhos to become a key hub for The Ocean Race and for sustainable nautical tourism,” stated Luis Pedro Martins, president of Visit Porto and North.
