Sunseeker 134 Superyacht arrives in Poole
Sunseeker 134 Superyacht reaches Poole for fit-out
Sunseeker’s 134 Superyacht has made the trip along the Dorset coast from Portland to Poole. The move marks the end of the first construction phase, and the yacht is now inside the British builder’s dedicated superyacht facility, where fit-out begins.
From the outside the yacht already has her final shape, but most of the Portland work happened below deck. Over the past several months Sunseeker’s engineering teams moulded the hull, fitted the main deck and superstructure, and installed the engines, generators, shafts, propellers, stabilisers and core hydraulic systems. The fuel, fresh water, grey water and black water networks that run through the whole vessel are also in place.
In Poole the focus shifts to wheelhouse technology, electrical infrastructure and onboard systems. These will be integrated with bespoke cabinetry, interiors and detailing.
The colour is already hard to miss. The owner commissioned a bespoke black hull finish, which the yard calls “Extreme Black”.
Sunseeker gives a length overall of 40.45 metres, a beam of 7.94 metres, a draught of 2.40 metres and a gross tonnage of 346 GT. Displacement at half load is 193,410 kg, with tanks for 24,750 litres of fuel and 5,350 litres of fresh water. Two engine options are listed: twin MTU 12V 2000 M96X or twin MTU 16V 2000 M97L.
The layout runs from a waterside beach club up to the flybridge, with the owner’s suite on the main deck.
Founded on the south coast of England in 1969, Sunseeker builds motor yachts from 55ft to over 134ft across its Predator, Manhattan, Ocean and Superyacht ranges, sold through a distribution network in more than 60 countries.
