Marina Port Valencia powers ahead with enhancements and revamped services
Since Marina Port Valencia took over the concession last October, numerous enhancements have been rolled out with a view to optimising facilities and providing better service to customers and employees.
REVITALISED AND DEDICATED TEAM
From the outset, Marina Port Valencia has been passionately committed to its greatest asset: people. As a result, the professional team has been revitalised and will strive to provide the best service and the best possible experience at its facilities.
What's more, berthside assistance is an essential factor when it comes to offering excellent service. Therefore, new berthside attendants have been recruited, ensuring the presence of professionals in each area of the facilities and optimising customer service.
We also now have an in-house maintenance team instead of the previously outsourced one, meaning that maintenance work is an ongoing operation, improving all parts of the facilities whether they can be seen or – equally as important – cannot be seen.
Last, but not least, we've contracted a landscaping team to look after the gardens (which will soon benefit from a full landscaping project) and a highly professional cleaning team to keep the facilities in shipshape fashion.
REVAMPED FACILITIES AND ACCESS CONTROL
To ensure greater convenience and hygiene, the bathrooms at the marina are currently being refurbished.
Another key aspect has been the revamping of buildings and access surveillance. The control system of the Marina Norte car park has been optimised, and the central pontoon is currently being redeveloped to increase its functionality and convenience.
What's more, a portable cabin has been installed in Marina Sur that will serve as an office, which will streamline customer service in this area.
HEIGHTENED SECURITY
Security has been a priority since day one, so surveillance has been heightened in the three marinas with 24-hour service to ensure the protection of employees, customers, and yachts. We also have a video surveillance company for all facilities (ATS).
NEW RESOURCES
With a view to enhancing mobility and efficiency within the marina, new resources have been purchased, including three new tenders (one with an electric motor), a forklift truck to help load and unload heavy elements, and several vehicles that facilitate mobility within the marina in order to respond quickly to any of our users' needs.
RENOVATION OF THE CAPTAIN'S CLUB
In our commitment to enhancing the experience of Marina City users, Marina Port Valencia has renovated the Captain's Club by incorporating new furniture, games, and a refreshed design.
CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT
Sustainability is also a priority for the management of Marina Port Valencia. An important step towards more responsible management has been taken by contracting the company Acteco, specialists in hazardous waste management. This move sets out to minimise environmental impact and foster sustainable practices in all operations carried out at the facilities.
CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Commitment to the community has been bolstered through agreements with various federations, associations, and charitable and sailing foundations.
Particularly inspiring are the partnerships with the Sailing Federation and the Asindown Foundation, reflecting Marina Port Valencia's commitment to the local society.
STRATEGIC AGREEMENT WITH VARADERO VALENCIA
Within the whole framework of enhanced services, an agreement has been signed with Varadero Valencia to provide discounts and preferential treatment on refit and repair services exclusively for Marina Port Valencia customers.
All these enhancements entail the immediate measures that Marina Port Valencia has rolled out during its four months of management, proof that the new concession-holder is passionately committed to excellence, security, and sustainability. Of course, this will all be followed by an unparalleled redevelopment that these facilities will soon experience in all areas: yachting, refit & repair, lifestyle and entertainment, and sailing or social activities.
