Today's day of great sailing on the regatta course of the Yacht Club Isole di Toscana where the mistral, with increasing intensity up to over 20 knots, has given the fleets of Melges World League tough conditions but with a high adrenaline rate. In this context, the Melges 14 fleet made its seasonal debut, joining that of the Melges 20 racing since yesterday.

Dario Levi, the reigning Melges 20 World League champion, at the helm of Fremito d'Arja continues to dictate the pace, thus proving to be perfectly at ease in all wind and wave conditions. To the great performances of his boat Dario Levi adds the perfect choices of his tactician, Stefano Cherin from Trieste, capable of interpreting a non-trivial race course without errors. Fremito d'Arja therefore continues to maintain the provisional leadership, with a margin of 6 points on the first of his rivals, thanks to the double success of the day in the two races held today. Vladimir Prosikhin's Nika from Monaco, is called tomorrow to play the last cards for a complicated comeback without appeal, today collects two second places that allow Nika to overcome in the provisional general classification Gone Squatching by Pietro Loro Piana. Gone Squatching served today a seventh place in the fourth race to immediately resume the pace of the best, obtaining a third place in the last race of the day.

As mentioned, the Mistral was the baptismal debut of the Melges 14 fleet, which was also able to compete in two races. A double second place puts Mario Aquila's Vanitè XXS at the top of the standings with a three-point margin on the first of his pursuers, Luca Antonini (4,3) who precedes Giampiero Poggi (8,1) at the helm of Magnifico.

Tomorrow the last and decisive day of racing of the Tuscany Grand Prix which will designate the names of the first seasonal winners in the Melges World League 2022.

The Melges World League 2022 counts on the support of: Helly Hansen, Quantum, North Sails and Garmin, as well as the technical partners Free Ride Cosmetics, Equilibra, Rigoni di Asiago, Revì, Acqua Cedea, Azienda Agricola il Ponte, Birrificio Petragnolo, Dai Dai , La Bellanotte, Sabatini Gin, Caffè Toscano, FoodNess and le Formiche di Fabio Vettori.
