SailGP has confirmed the return of the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix | Geneva for the 2026 Season, set to unfold over two action-packed days of racing September 19-20, 2026. The event marks a second consecutive home event for the Switzerland SailGP Team, supported once again by championship and event Title Partner, Rolex.

Geneva made its debut SailGP appearance in September 2025 as a sold-out crowd lined Lake Geneva to watch the most exciting racing on water unfold in one of its most spectacular locations. Over 8,500 ticketed fans created an unforgettable atmosphere as the Germany SailGP Team, presented by Deutsche Bank denied Switzerland victory on home waters.

SailGP CEO, Sir Russell Coutts, said: “Returning to Geneva is a significant moment for SailGP and our fans, as we continue to establish a consistent annual calendar in some of the world’s most iconic destinations. In 2025, the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix became one of the most attractive outdoor sporting events ever hosted in the city – and the biggest ever held on the lake.”

Coutts continued, “Together with our partner, Rolex, the Rolex SailGP Championship returns with an expanded fan experience on land, with world-class hospitality for fans, guests and partners. Having an event in Geneva is important to SailGP’s global growth and we look forward to working with Rolex, the City and the Canton to host another record-setting event.”

Arnaud Boetsch, Rolex Director of Communication and Image, said: “We are proud to be welcoming the Rolex SailGP Championship back to the home of Rolex, following a remarkable race weekend last September. The event reflects the strength of our long-standing partnership, our shared commitment to shaping the future of sailing and to bringing the sport to new audiences. Having partnered the league since its inception in 2019, Rolex supports SailGP through every moment on and off the water and we look forward to witnessing more extraordinary achievements this season, especially when the F50s return to Lake Geneva.”

Sébastien Schneiter, driver for the Switzerland SailGP Team, said: “We are extremely excited to welcome SailGP back to Geneva this season. A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this event possible, including our team partners. We’re proud to have another opportunity to race in front of our home crowd, and fight for a win this year. There’s nothing better than the feeling of that home support – it gives us an extra edge.”

Geneva replaces Saint-Tropez’s position on the 2026 Season calendar, previously scheduled for September 12-13. The Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix will act as the 11th stop of the 2026 Season calendar – and the final destination in Europe before the season-defining double header in the UAE.

The 2025 Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix was the biggest event ever held on the lake, delivering significant positive impact for the city and attracting tens of thousands of fans across the grandstands, shoreline and on water. A further 19.5million tuned into the broadcast of the event.

Tickets for the Rolex Switzerland Sail Grand Prix | Geneva will go on sale in February. Register to SailGP+ for exclusive early access before the general sale, including the best prices and best views.
