Foiling Week 2026 will take place from June 27th to July 5th on the Veneto side of Lake Garda and, as tradition dictates, will be hosted by Fraglia Vela Malcesine. The event confirms its role as the leading platform for technical exchange and a key meeting point for the international foiling community.

From Wednesday, April 22nd at 14:00 CEST, entries for the classes Moth, WASZP, Switch One Design, ETF26, Birdyfish and IODA will open on the Club’s website at: https://www.fragliavela.org/regata/foiling-week-2026/. Nikki class entries will follow.

The racing programme will be structured in two main phases. From June 27th to 30th, WASZP, Switch One Design, Birdyfish and IODA will be on the water. From July 2nd to 5th, Moth, ETF26, Birdyfish, IODA and Nikki will compete.

Alongside the boat racing schedule, a dedicated programme for foiling boards will run in parallel. From June 27th to 30th, pump foil, e-foil and downwind activities will be based in the event village in central Malcesine, currently under development in the Paina area in collaboration with the Municipality, with the explicit aim of fostering direct interaction between the public, athletes and partners. The Wingfoil Race will take place from July 2nd to 5th, based at Fraglia Vela Malcesine, completing the on-water programme across the various foiling disciplines.

On July 1st and 2nd, the second edition of the Foiling Sport Congress, organised by The Foiling Organization, will be held. It represents a key moment of discussion for the global professional community. Athletes, federations, classes, event organisers and industry stakeholders will gather to discuss the development of foiling as a sport. We Are Foiling Head of Performance Giulia Conti, supported by specialised coaches, will lead two training clinics dedicated to the WASZP and Switch One Design classes (June 24th to 26th) and to the Moth class (June 29th to July 1st), designed for a limited number of participants to ensure quality and intensity on the water.

The public trial programme, always one of Foiling Week’s defining features, will be further expanded. The 2026 edition will offer a wide range of experiences designed to engage a diverse audience, from enthusiasts to newcomers.

Among the new features of the 13th edition, Harken’s presence further strengthens Foiling Week’s role as a leading platform for innovation in high-performance sailing. A global leader in the production and sale of deck hardware, hydraulic systems, and winches for sailing boats, Harken is active at the highest levels of international sailing, from the America’s Cup to ocean racing, as well as Olympic Classes and Maxi circuits. This year, the company has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with Foiling Week, one of the main international platforms dedicated to foiling.

Emanuele Cecchini, Commercial Director EMEA & APAC at Harken Inc., stated: “Foiling is radically redefining the technical demands of sailing, setting increasingly higher standards in terms of loads, speed, and control. In this context, Foiling Week represents a key opportunity for dialogue among designers, teams, and companies. For Harken, participation is therefore a concrete opportunity to showcase ever more advanced solutions and to strengthen its role not only as a market leader, but also as a point of reference in innovation. We are proud to take part in Foiling Week and believe that this collaboration can represent an opportunity for exchange and growth.”

In 2021, Foiling Week was included among the Special Events of World Sailing, the sport’s international governing body, a status comparable to what the four Grand Slam tournaments represent in tennis.
