Azimut Grande 36M
Azimut Benetti Group is a winner at the World Yachts Trophies 2022
Azimut|Benetti Group climbs to the top step of the podium in five different categories at the World Yacht Trophies 2022, the prestigious awards organised by Yachts France and dedicated to the best motor yachts from 14 to 140 metres launched over the last 12 months. The presentation ceremony takes place every year during the Cannes Yachting Festival.
This year it was held on Saturday September 10, 2022, during a gala evening set against the magical backdrop of the beach in front of the Carlton International and the bay of Cannes.
The jury awarded prizes to two Azimut models and three Benetti yachts. This important acknowledgement confirms the level of excellence achieved by the Group, whose yachts have once again been rewarded during the iconic Cannes Yachting Festival, thanks to their unique design, innovative technology and sustainability.
Azimut
Azimut's typically bold, contemporary design won the award for "Best Interior Design, yachts from 30 to 50 metres" with Grande 36M. Alberto Mancini's exterior lines meet the aesthetics of Achille Salvagni, who designed the interiors with flowing shapes and warm colour tones, in a play on full and empty volumes that transform the ambiance. The harmonious, welcoming space is characterised by objects and artistic elements inspired by the world of art and nature, for a project that is both welcoming and leaves a mark with more playful and unexpected details.
Grande 36M introduces the Infinity Skydeck, a new concept offering the first semi-walkaround upper deck on the same level. This revolutionizes the traditional layout and creates an area that didn't exist before on boats this size. In addition, the fully recessed glazed surfaces in the skylounge extend the space out into infinity, transforming the upper deck into a glass house that can be opened on three sides.
The new Magellano line flagship Magellano 30M wins the award for "Best Layout, yachts from 14 to 30 metres", with a design for owners who love to go on long cruises. The exterior styling by Ken Freivokh combines a hull with impressive volumes and a sleek superstructure, the distinguishing characteristic of this crossover coupe. The key features are the vertical bow, the imposing hull sides and the protected walkways running alongside extensive glazed surfaces - over 70 square metres - that embrace and illuminate the interiors designed by Vincenzo De Cotiis.
For the first time on a yacht this size, the main deck offers a 270-degree view of the sea: a moment of unexpected beauty but also a work of engineering art by the Yard's Technical Office, which designed a low-profile ventilation system to ensure uninterrupted views, backed up by the work of Vincenzo De Cotiis. The Italian architect designed the furnishings to be half height in fact, so as not to steal the show from the sea and sky but rather communicate with them.
Benetti
Benetti Calex, the 67-metre mega yacht with a steel hull and an aluminium superstructure, won the "Best Layout, yachts from 50 to 82 metres" category. The sleek exterior styling by Cassetta Yacht Designers and the interiors by the Benetti Style Department work together to create an extraordinary layout that is bespoke in every detail, with indoor and outdoor spaces that ensure absolute privacy and comfort and cater to the owner's passion for exercise and well-being. The yacht extends across five enclosed decks, plus a Sundeck, and stands out for her perfectly balanced volumes. The interiors were fitted out using the 'box in box' method and meet the highest construction standards, testifying yet again to the shipyard's exceptional craftsmanship. The stand-out feature of this 67-metre yacht is the Upper Deck, which has a surface area of 160 square metres devoted entirely to the owner's personal spaces.
Oasis 34M won the award in the category "Best Innovation, yachts from 30 to 50 metres". Cruising on board the Oasis 34M offers an immersive experience of the natural landscape thanks to uniquely designed outdoor spaces that arouse sensations of symbiosis with the marine environment. A signature for the exterior lines by the English Studio RWD and for the interiors by the New York Architecture Studio Bonetti & Kozerski. The innovative design is a distinctive feature across all the yacht's decks up to the Sun Deck, which contains a large dining area covered by a carbon hard top and a sunbathing area for conviviality and relaxation. Another distinguishing feature of the yacht is the Main Deck and the value added by the innovative Oasis Deck® solution, which redefines the stern area with an open-air space containing the infinity pool, the sunbathing area, the living space and the full lounge that highlights continuity between indoors and outdoors, offering a boundless panorama.
The new Benetti B.Yond 37M also received the award as "Greenest Yacht". Featuring ground-breaking design and environmental friendliness, B.Yond 37M is the greenest yacht in its category.
On the B.Yond 37M, the innovative E-Mode Hybrid system by Siemens Energy makes it possible to optimize on-board energy consumption according to specific usage profiles, which translates into unprecedented CO2 and NOx emissions reductions for a yacht in this category. Thanks to the E-Mode Hybrid system, B.Yond 37M uses SCR catalytic filters when at sea, a gas control technology already adopted in the automotive industry for Euro 6D diesel engines. This innovative solution offers the freedom of four different operating modes, including Full Electric mode for zero emission navigation, an exclusive plus that allows B.Yond 37M to enter marine protected areas or those normally off-limits to motor yachts. The revolutionary concept of B.Yond 37M was developd by Stefano Righini while the interiors, whose design was taken care of by the architect Mauro Izzo di Benetti, were furnished by Giorgetti, a leading brand of contemporary design.
