Baglietto CEO Diego Michele Deprati named Pioniere della Nautica 2026
Diego Michele Deprati, Chief Executive Officer of Baglietto, yesterday received the prestigious PIONIERE DELLA NAUTICA 2026 award in the manager category. The prize, awarded annually by Confindustria Nautica, honors individuals who, through strategic vision, expertise, and passion, have made a significant contribution to the development, innovation, and strengthening of the Italian yachting sector over time. The award recognizes Deprati’s commitment “to the growth of the Italian nautical industry worldwide through entrepreneurial vision, managerial skills, and an innovative spirit, successfully leading major shipyards that represent the excellence of Made in Italy”.
The award ceremony took place in the evocative setting of Borgo Egnazia, in the Puglia Region, during SATEC 2026, the annual convention organized by Confindustria Nautica and widely regarded as one of the most important events for the industry.
"I am deeply moved this evening," said Diego Michele Deprati, recipient of the Pioniere della Nautica 2026 award. "When someone in my profession receives this recognition, the credit never belongs to one individual alone. It belongs to the course that has been charted together with a team of dedicated craftsmen, suppliers, workers, technicians, and engineers who have always contributed to making the Italian yachting industry the finest in the world.
This industry has given me so much. It has taught me the value of hard work, a profound respect for the sea, and the ability to navigate through market challenges without ever losing sight of a long-term vision. I believe that becoming a pioneer does not mean looking back with nostalgia, but rather setting a course for those who will follow."
Born in Savona and a proud resident of Murazzano by adoption, Deprati has served as Chief Executive Officer of shipyards for more than 30 years, first at Mondomarine and, since 2012, at Baglietto, where he has also overseen the relaunch of the CCN brand. In 2020, he led the merger process between the two Gavio Group companies, Cerri Cantieri Navali S.p.A. and Baglietto S.p.A. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Baglietto S.p.A.
