A Catamaran

To the Power of 2, because the YOT 53 is a catamaran with two hulls, offering 40% more surface area than a monohull of the same size. It provides stability, both at anchor and underway, and a less aggressive and smoother ride through the waves, while maintaining a beam that’s compatible with Mediterranean marina berths. Fuel consumption is also an essential factor in any comparison, as this is much more reasonable than on a single-hulled boat.

Designed by JNJ Design, in collaboration with the CATANA GROUP design office, the YOT 53 was conceived first and foremost to meet the needs and requirements of our customers who are 100% motorboat enthusiasts.

Because CATANA GROUP has been a specialist in CATAMARANS for 40 years with the CATANA and BALI brands, we have focused on our core market: Providing pleasure at sea on two hulls!

The concept

Building on the industrial experience and commercial success of the CATANAGROUP brands, we have studied, listened to and transcribed the expectations of MOTORYACHT owners in order to provide features that correspond to both their coastal and offshore cruising needs.

Firstly, the YOT 53 has an up-and-over aft door (as seen aboard BALI CATAMARANS) to open up the cockpit and increase the lounge or dining area, creating a total connection with the sea.

The U-shaped galley is found in the forward section of the nacelle, freeing up the area further aft while remaining close and convivial. This is a unique feature on the POWER CATAMARAN market.

A Super Yot Owner’s Cabin

The owner's cabin, at the front of the boat, occupies the entire width of the catamaran, offering a unique space with a 180° view of the sea. Featuring a KING SIZE bed (180cm x 200cm), vanity unit, large bathroom, sofa, separate toilet: all the ingredients are there to satisfy an experienced and demanding owner.

But the MUST-HAVE feature of this cabin is the access to the private terrace through the forward door.

The forward cockpit: a private terrace

The forward cockpit has been designed as a relaxation area for sunbathing, waking up, yoga, sundowner cocktails, etc., but always for the owner’s enjoyment.

The ergonomics of this exclusive area (although it can be shared) have been designed for all times of the day, with adjustable backrests and comfortable seats, while maintaining a decent level of privacy.

A real terrace on the sea, directly connected to the cabin, this cockpit brings light, sea views and, above all, ventilation to this privileged setting designed for the owner.

A multi-purpose rooftop

Again, this is an extended area that’s been designed for making the most of different times of the day, from quiet early mornings to the liveliest of evenings, so that larger crews can enjoy several areas at once without treading on each other’s toes.

A helm station with two pilot seats, a forward-facing XL lounge bench seat for enjoying the cruise, a U-shaped dining or cocktail area for eight people, a worktop with grill, fridges/ice maker and storage, and finally a sunbathing area for six people, all protected by a large hard top integrated into the overall design of the boat: This area has everything you need for 360° visibility, making it the largest Rooftop on the market.

The aft cockpit: maximum YOT

This part of the YOT 53 is in constant contact with the sea. This is achieved by the fold-down platforms in the topsides, the retractable sunbathing areas integrated into the aft steps, the modular furniture that can be turned to face the inside or outside of the boat, and the hydraulic platform that creates a balcony at deck level or a swimming area with your feet in the water. (When lowered, it can be used to load items such as motorised underwater toys or scuba equipment for easy access.

The tender is positioned under a telescopic crane extending from the roof for smooth handling and is stowed on the hydraulic platform when the catamaran is on passage.

2 configurations

The YOT 53 was designedfirst and foremost for owners, with three levels of cabins:

-An Owner’s cabin occupying the entire width of the boat

-A VIP cabin on the starboard side with a QUEEN SIZE bed (160 cm x 200 cm) with ample storage space, a generous bathroom and a separate toilet

-A modular guest cabin with either two single beds or a QUEEN SIZE double bed, a beautiful bathroom, storage space identical to the VIP cabin, and a separate toilet

However, the YOT 53 can also be configured in a 4-cabin version, with 2 separate cabins forward replacing the very large owner's cabin. There is still access to the forward cockpit, but you’ll have to choose the right cabin!

Powerful engines and latest-generation energy-efficient design

Equipped with twin 440HP or twin 550HP YANMAR engines, the YOT 53 has comfortable cruising speeds of between 15 and 18 knots depending on the configuration, with top speeds of around 23 knots. Its shaft-driven propellers allow all power to be transmitted without loss of efficiency or vibration.

The boat, which can be configured with LITHIUM batteries, will be able to supply 48 V for better power to higher-consumption appliances and, above all, will allow the boat to be air-conditioned without requiring a generator, ensuring peace and quiet for enjoying the world’s most beautiful anchorages.

According to Boris Compagnon, CATANA GROUP Sales and Marketing Director, “The YOT 53 is part of a development strategy for all the group’s boats, always offering alternatives to existingmarine industry products, to better meet current needs and even create the needs of tomorrow and, as always, on two hulls!”
