The upcoming Miami International Boat Show (February 15-19) will mark the beginning of a partnership with solid foundations and a great future ahead. The two partners are a major brand, CentounoNavi, founded by Manuela Lucchesi, designer and entrepreneur, and Marco Arnaboldi, naval engineer, and the US broker HMY Yacht Sales, which has over forty years’ experience and 14 commercial offices (scattered between Ocean Reef, in Florida, and Newport, Rhode Island), plus over 50 professionals working for them.

CentounoNavi combines the entrepreneurial skills and refined taste of Manuela Lucchesi with the technical skills of Marco Arnaboldi, the naval engineer who developed the water jet propulsion technology and then combined it with new composite material sandwich construction techniques for super-fast yachts. The idea behind the new generation of Viareggio CentounoNavi yachts is to obtain uncompromising performance and be inspired by the “beauty of nature”. The first is guaranteed by refined custom-made construction combined with water jet propulsion, while the second is inspired by the grace and efficiency of marine animals.

“For the overseas début with HMY  Yacht Sales we have identified Forza , fast cruiser, as the ideal model to win the attention of competent and refined owners such as the ones in the United States,” explains Manuela Lucchesi. “Italian style, extreme care in the choice of materials and their processing, exceptional comfort combine in a unique yacht that has already caused a sensation in the nautical world. FORZA is powerful, impetuous, strong, almost armoured, but light and very fast, sprinting and at the same time gentle on the water.  We expect great things from the collaboration between CentounoNavi and HMY  Yacht Sales and a bright future can already be seen on the horizon.”

“Measuring 28 meters in length, Forza is equipped with three 2,000 HP MAN 12V engines coupled with three MJP 450 water jets for a maximum speed of 60 knots,” explains the designer Marco Arnaboldi. “The 7,000 litre fuel tank guarantees an exceptional range of 500 nm at a cruising speed of 50 knots. Her profile is dynamic, with a low superstructure, open transom and extended bow. The terraced aft deck features a fixed swim platform, a large sundeck (with space underneath to stow a tender) and foldable topsides to increase the deck area and contact with the sea; a second large sundeck is located on the foredeck. Forza delivers‘green speed, with the slogan “fast is green”: the shape of the hull has been designed for high performance combined with high efficiency, which is guaranteed not only by the water jet propulsion, but also by the composite sandwich construction, which makes this yacht 30% lighter than its competitors, with 50% lower CO2 emissions!”

In the meantime, it has been confirmed that Vespro, another model from the CentounoNavi collection, will be sailing in the Mediterranean Sea in June. This very fast 16.5-metre yacht will turn heads with its 56 knots, delivered by two 1200 HP MAN 8V engines coupled with MJP 350X water jets. The cruising speed is 50 knots, but at maximum speed its range is already 350 nautical miles.
