Two new members have brought additional capabilities to the German superyacht group Deutsche Yachten. With its experience in marine communications Yachtelektronik Kruse adds crucial expertise to the group. And akf bank is a leading finance partner for those buying yachts up to around 50m in length.

Discussing his membership of Deutsche Yachten, a work group within the Association of German Boat- and Shipbuilders (DBSV), Yachtelektronik Kruse founder Jörg Kruse said: “I joined Deutsche Yachten because I really like the community. You can find companies and people who have the same interest as me there, and I can take part in boat shows and make new contacts.

“Of course, it also is a good place to meet new customers for my company, B2B and B2C. Yachtelektronik Kruse offers everything for communication at sea. We provide the full service, from delivery to installation and maintenance of navigation and communication devices. Plus, you get a 24/7 technical support. We can also help with custom bridge integration on megayachts, including charting, GPS, AIS, autopilot and GMDSS systems, as well as navigation lights.”

As a private bank, Wuppertal-based akf has for many years helped businesses and individuals to finance dream purchases from luxury cars to megayachts, so it was a natural step to join the leading yachting industry group.

“We decided to join Deutsche Yachten in order to continue to support the German yacht industry, increase our network, and have a constant exchange with all partners in this sector. We have been working closely with shipyards and dealers in the yacht industry for many years, and Deutsche Yachten offers the perfect place and possibilities for this,” said Sandra Hein, director of marine finance for akf bank.

“We are one of the largest service providers in the area of yacht financing in Germany. We have been working in this sector for more than 15 years. We finance boats and yachts from 7m to 46m/50m. Our priority is to create the conditions for a smooth financing and to set this in accordance with the customer.”

Claus-Ehlert Meyer, Managing Director of Deutsche Yachten and the Association of German Boat- and Shipbuilders, is delighted about the addition: "It is good to see that our concept of bundling German yacht building expertise is working. We would not get such a response if the cooperation within the group did not bear fruit".
